How long do you want to live to be?

I mean,,,like,,,until your as old as your breath can go in and out?
Or as long as you feel your still able to do?

I mean,,its NOT,,lol,like we really have ANY CHOICE of that matter.
But,,just wondering the thoughts of most here?

I want to live to be 101 years old okay realisticaly as long as I can, I want to enjoy all the experiences it this life good or bad.

As far as I can remember, I haven't wanted to live at all. I wanted to die a long time ago.

Until I die and not a minute more. Unless I become a vampire, then forever.

i want to go on oct 15 at 88 years old just like my grandfather who raised me.

10/15 is my birthday.

Well, the women in my family go out walking.
I think I would choose to go the day after
I cannot take care of myself.
No matter the age.

I once had a wooden plaque carved to ask: Do you want to live forever? It was from Conan the Barbarian movie. The woman said that just before she leaped off of a building (ha). I don't think I would want to live forever. But as long as there are those that I love and love me back around, well let's just say as long as my grandmom, who lived to 96. But don't hold me to that

I always wondered if I'd live to see Sixty. Now I'm getting nervous

I want to live as long as I am contributing to this world and enhancing the lives of the ones near and dear to me.

I really don't think about it. I'm ready to go at anytime!

I want to live as long as I can still have an active life, and take care of myself without the help of others.

I have often thought about this.

When I was a child and having the life beat out of me on a frequent basis there were times when I just closed my eyes and prayer for Jesus to take me home. There were times when I am pretty sure he " took me for a walk" a few times because I survived my youth.

With repeated miscarriages I often wondered if what I was doing in the world as an adult was really worth anything then I was blessed with a child that donfirmed if I did nothing else I had a purpose and it was a blessing to put above any hardship.

When my children went out on their own and eventually appear to be more than strong enough to thrive in the world I wondered if the sometimes searing pain I live with day in an day out was my permission to stop fighting to keep my body that seems to find new3 ways to betray me daily going. Without medical intervention I would have died a long time ago.

Now I have a 84 year old terminally ill parent who has worked no less than sixty years, out lived two wives, his son, and mll of his friends and many of his aquaintences. Barely able to swallow, stand, or do much more than lay in pain the majority of his days dependent on 24/7 care has chosen no more intervention and pass hopefully peacefully before many more weeks are passed. To my way of thinking I am honoring his choice as I hope when I find myself with a similiar absence of quality of life I would be allowed to pass/

I honestly do not know if I will find another purpose for my life when that happens or not. I have friends/family that I hope would miss me, a period of my life I hope to enjoy as much as I can, but will I allow anyone to force me to live what I may find as eventually an empty and intolerable life I can tell you with certany the answer is no.

Could I determin the moment; yes and no person on this earth really has the power to stop me fortuneately in a free society that allows us the privilege of self determination when we make that decision with sound mind and write an advanced directive that prevents others from inflicting life when we no longer maintain it.

Do I know exactly what day, what age, that will be.not really. I have friends that have quite advanced lives and even though they can not do everything they once could still do enough that they live and even enjoy thier life. Not to mention contribute to the lives of others. With technology I am hopefully for me thaqt is a couple more decades but who knows. I have no crystal ball.

and again.....50

I'll prolly live beyond 100.......

but I'd rather not.

Personally; I wouldn't care if I died tomorrow. I have had 51 good years.

I wanna be old and grey. sitting on the front portch wathing my grandchildre.
