Yes. Not everyone is a fan of clowns. If you think about it, why would anyone want to interact with someone so grotesque looking? I don't wear makeup - just a red nose and costume. Professionals know how to keep their distance from people who are not fans. I don't want to scar any kids/people for life, that's for sure!

I made the comment I did because I IRL people often do not believe me - I have had everything from direct in my face comments to sly & subtle jokes made about the veracity of stories I have shared about sports or my field biology years, my childhood, my marriage etc etc - fact is they are all true

You make a good point though. In the midwest/south I get looked at, like I'm out of my mind. With different colored hair, and vintage clothing. In a bigger city nobody looks at me twice. I guess it depends on who you're around as well.

@ Vintage - exactly. Subjective experience and perspective means not one living person can label anyone or anything 'different' OR 'normal'. We can think anything we want about ourselves and other people, but trying to arbitrarily define everything outside of ourselves is an exercise in futility. Except ICP fans - they're definitely 'normal'... In a very bad way.
