A boy becomes a man when he stares in the face of the responsibilities and hardships of life, and doesn't need to call his mum. OR if he has a beard.

I have a beard.

I use my Dad as my example of what I should be....

Strong, capable, independant, good natured, careing, giving, thoughtful, sincere, dumb as schitt some days, loving, hard working, and very faithful.

Always the shoulder to lean on. The encouraging word. The silent act of just doing the right thing at the right time....whether it is drying a tear, or kissing an owwie...or going to work or war for your loved ones....

Real men stand out as men among men

I agree!love smitten

A real man communicates how he feels...and if a relationship is not working he will discuss it face to face and not leave a dear jane text or email or just stop calling.

one who is cool under pressure (no drama kings/queens, or posers)

one who is sure of themself

one who practices patience

honest but compassionate

confident in ability, but humble in dealing with others

a dreamer, grounded in the earth, but not afraid to reach for stars at the same time

logical

responsible

a conquerer instead of a victim

mallable, according to situation, as opposed to stubborn or lazy

compassionate

respectful of women

OK,,READY?noway

laugh

To be able to LEAD,,as well as you follow.
To be honest in who you really live.

To be open to hear imperfections you have,
and able to be big enough to work on them,
to become more, without seeing them in anger.

To be confident in who you are, and stand behind your judgments made.

YET, to know your only human, and never perfect, yet work to be your best always.

A man needs to be as equal in his thoughts,,as well as in his actions to do. Yet strong enough to compromise when he See's its the best for all, NOT just him.

A man needs to be able to confirm to himself,
that he is His own MAN MADE...person..

He will stand for what he believes,
yet bend to much degree if prov-en wrong.

A man is a man, once he out grows all of his boy within him.

He needs to be able to bring-out his boy within him,,if he feels he's needed to ACT,,and not look at that as wrong, for others to see.

He needs to be a protector, able to ACT in order to save another.
Yet humble enough to know reason over risk of injury to all.

He needs to first, love himself, in order to ever love someone else.

He must have confidants in who HE IS, and project THAT when needed to do, yet meek enough to take others advices without that offending him.

AND,,a man CAN CRY A TEAR,,and STILL BE A MAN,
For its within his inner qualities of manhood EARNED to HAVE and know,
Which allows his tear to flow. (sorry just had to rhyme),lol

Life, Time, and HIS experience WITNESSED,,
builds his manhood inside as its learned, and called,wisdom..

whoa I think thats about it,,,,lol
But to be real,,WE ALL,,MEN AND WOMEN,,LEARN and GROW to become MORE of who we ARE,,and who we are SEEN AS,,,on a daily basis.
and through an openness to hear, reason, and self analyze US.
We grow and become more of (HOPEFULLY) a better adult through that.

BUT,,,see,,,noew THIS IS A BIGGY HERE,,

WE ALL VIEW THE CONCEPTS OF BEING A REAL MAN,
THROUGH THE REAL MEN WE LEARNED THAT THROUGH?

SO,,,we ALL will have different idealisms within who and what made us THINK THAT,,as we grew to become ONE?

A man is a man when he is honest and true to himself. He isn't trying to impress you or his buddies by being something he is not. He can openly communicate to me and be responsible. He can cry or not cry but he can be comfortable doing either. He isn't bossy but has control of his life. He isn't needy but wants to be appreciated. He can spend time with you or without you and not be insecure or jealous.

I like this as well but honestly since my ex cheated on my multiple times and did nothing but lie I have trouble with.

He can spend time with you or without you and not be insecure or jealous

No point in lying about it I have trust issues, but I am sure a lot here do and have had the same issues with past relationships. it will take time I guess but, I will never accept my partner spending alone time with another guy. there is no reason for a you're wife/girlfriend to be alone at some guys house, I don't go to girls houses alone. guys have their guy friends girls have girlfriends and the rest should be shared friends. Like if you're with a group it's cool be to go sit in the dark watching movies all cozy just you and him, I am sorry I just don't think it's right.

And it's not that I think you're going to sleep with him. it's just very likely he wants to sleep with you. guys do not just hang out with girls unless they are gay. guys you can tell me im wrong all you want I know you and the nice guy mac it's BS. I don't care if she don't like him, as i know any girl would hate if i was hanging out with a girl a lone and she was hanging all over me.

I don't know if this is jealousy or common sense I just know I can't handle that and think it's wrong.

what are you're guys opinions on you're partner spending alone time with the opposite sex? and remember neither of you can know if the person they are spending time with want's to sleep with them or not.
the other person can say they don't want to all they want just like i could say I don't want to be a millionaire.
