Thanks for the googled news stories of NASCAR's indiscretions, sincereman51. If you noticed, I said in my earlier post that you RARELY hear of a NASCAR driver/crew member up on drug charges or whatever. So you found 3 or 4 major articles about someone with a drug problem or reckless driving incident within the last few years in the sport of NASCAR. How about googling any incidents of drug related abuse or any type of indescretions in basketball/baseball/football in the last few years? You'd probably hit on a couple hundred.......for each sport. I rest my case.

i agree celticricket alot of people just judge nascar when so many other sports have been blamed for drugs. bonds, mcguire, and sosa have never tested positive for steroids but mcguire at the time took legal drugs which he says he took for most of his career. nascar are some of the best athletes on earth.

These Drivers are athletes they sit in a seat that doesnts allow that much movement the heat from the track the engine etc constantly on them the wrecks they sometimes get in they take a toll on the body like other sports..

i like nascar it is a competitive sport

In my opinion, NASCAR Nextel Cup is the 2nd most entertaining broadcast besides football, of course. These drivers go through a lot of conditioning, physically and mentally. Every track suggests many changes to the car and you've got to get the perfect setup for the win.

There's a lot more involved than just running back and fourth on a court and trying to toss it into a hoop. It's called intelligence and strategy.

Have you ever been to a race? Sat in the stands and watched? It is totally awesome. I grew up on Nascar racing because my uncle used to drive. I have met some of the greatest drivers out there.
Whether road races or oval track, they are totally awesome.

Yes, I've been to a NASCAR race. The Daytona 500.. I live 2 hours away from there. It is very exciting.

I could do without the large groups of people, though. Makes me nervous.

I've been to Bristol Talladega and Memphis twice for the Busch series every one was an awesome experience...

Nascar races are a blast to go to ...especially if you camp there and get into the spirit of what's going on! It's one big tail-gate party that goes on for days! Charlotte and Daytona party goes on for weeks! Nascar is a sport for those that know how to have a great time. Stuffed shirts should just stay away and go watch kick ball....lol

It kooks like Kyle Busch will be racing with Tony Stewart next year!Joe Gibbs will have his work cut out for him with that pair!! Should be some good head butting in the shop area!

Honestly, I'd rather do it than watch it.

Watching only the race can get boring...but all the drama in the background and the party at the track makes it pretty wild!!!
