the faithful would not believe that there is violence in the bible or Quran but only that mild disagreements are perhaps taking place and both have an equal share
the Quran is actually the Love Child of the Old and New Testaments and the next chapter in the Epic Saga in the Adventures of God perhaps another two thousand years from now the Quran will somehow get glued to The New Testament as The New Testament somehow got glued to The Old Testament |

I have sworn on the bible but never on the Quran.
If I was given a choice I would have opted for Noam Chomskys... Profit Before People.. |

I think both books have equivalent accounts of violence which can be perceived as instructed or endorsed,,, by those reading reading comprehension and understanding context are two skills that used to be stressed in education but no longer are and two skills, when absent, that can completely change the meaning of something because of the nature of biblical books to give potentially historical accounts mixed in with theistic guidance, many can confuse one for the other,,,,,so accounts of violence or accounts of specific theistic reaction to a specific group or situation, can be confused with promotion of violence in general,,,and even direction towards violence in general |

I choose the Bible because I believe it to be God inspired and I can understand better from and am more trusting of a collection of seperate views and perspectives which correlated to each other than the perspective of only ONE person |

Neither books when viewed appropriately are particularly violent
nor do they advocate violence. |

Neither books when viewed appropriately are particularly violent nor do they advocate violence. I agree ...really? Plagues? Murdering children? Genocide on a massive scale? Slavery? Torture? Abuse? ...so, what IS violent then? |

What is the ''ILLUMINATI CONSPIRACY''? And Why do muslim clerics make refererences to the BIBLE when preaching? The Illuminati are/is supposedly an organization which is supposedly the organizer of events and affairs through secret control of governments and corporations thus ultimately creating the fantasy known as New World Order. I believe it was structured to resemble the Freemasons in 1776. They were also supposedly wiped out by the Catholic Church... However, rapper Eminem, and other popular musicians still speak of their existence. What role, if any, and what power, again if any, they actually have isn't truly known aside speculation; therefore... why it's called a conspiracy. ..as to why they reference the bible.. The Qur'an contains upwards of some 50 people and events that are also found in the bible. While their are differences you may actually believe they are referring to the bible, when in fact it is the Qur'an's interpretation of the same thing. |

i think one which supports fighting a religious war called jihad is more violent. Take a look @ this? BOKOHARAM, meaning WESTERN EDUCtION IS AN ABOMINATION . And confirms it has direct links with AL- QUEDA, have been destroying lives and properties in nigeria 4 sometime now. Burning churches and massacre which has really being malevolent, though some may say its purely political, but there is still a modicum of religion instinct it possess considering its from the northern part of the country, and its NAME. So i think its more of violent than the christian bible. I rest my case.

The Quran. Only because of Allah's influences, as in terrorism. It's taught many indians to become suicide bombers. It's not fair game, to be fair.

It's not fair game, to be fair. ..true, but you both are forgetting about the Crusades. The massacred thousands, mercilessly, in the name of the Bible. Terrorism from the Qur'an is more recent in memory. ..but the Crusaders have their bloody shining moment too. Plus, the Nazis-- Jews killed Jesus, remember? Hitler used this 'fact' to create the Holocaust. |

A book cannot be violent, it can only depict, condone or advocate violence.
The Bible depicts violence, but does not condone or advocate violence. I won't comment on the Quran because I've never read it. |

Hitler used this 'fact' to create the Holocaust. I'm not going to get into the subject of the crusades other than to say this: The Crusades began only after most of the Christian world had been forcefully converted to Islam. When the Muslim armies were marching into Europe, simple people formed an army to drive them back. The first crusade was without a doubt purely self defense. Later crusades are definitely debatable, but the first crusade is the only reason you aren't a Muslim right now. As for the Nazis, Hitler had nothing but contempt for Christians and Christianity. He admired Islam and encouraged Nazis to convert. |
