Well, I took a good look around outside and there's nothing missing. I have no outside lights on this place. One of the million things I'm doing to the house. I have an empty lot on either side of me and my closest neighbour is across the alley but he's a drunken fire wood thief. He's likely passed out right now.
I'm not worried but it still bugs me about the 2x4. Funny thing is my back door was unlocked. He could have walked right in. Then he would have got a beating for sure!
This is Lamont. Not Edmonton. It's a town of 1600 people. I never expected things like this here. I know the crackheads are everywhere and I've had a few things stolen out of the yard here and the other place I had broken into continuously this year. That's part of the reason I sold it.

Dear diary.......I forgot to tell you....when I left for work today.....I went up to my car and couldnt help but notice the craziness of the birds.......it was like a million were all chirping at once......I was thinking......maybe something bad will happen......

The closest RCMP detachment is over 20 miles from here. They won't show up anyway. I talked to them when my riding mower was stolen. Just fill out the statement. blah blah blah.
I moved out here to get away from this crap. In the city I had all kinds of things stolen from my place all the time. Once they took the radiator and the running boards from my truck! Guaranteed they went to the scrapyard for about 25 bucks.
I've been here for almost 3 years and the house was empty for a year before that so I don't think so. It's possible but it still doesn't explain the 2x4 or why he was here in the middle of the night.
I'll phone the cops tomorrow and tell them what happened.
