Alright.....

I will be the stick in the mud here...

I HATE the f'n prick who used to be my good friend for 16 years then he got strung out on meth and heroin and chose to rob my house when I was on vacation.

I ain't gonna forgive that crap and anyone wanting to put the bible up to me for a lecture on forgiveness can just shut thier damned mouths. I leave forgiveness to the christians...though I don't see too much of it from them either.

I HATE the local DJ who years ago told me that I pulled my artwork from the internet and that I didn't actually paint it.....I still wanna beat the schitt out of that no talent fatfuq.

I HATE the preacher who tried recruiting my friend to his flock at his 16 year old daughters funeral. I would gladly throw that muther***er in front of a bus.

I HATE the woman who used a child against me as an emotional weapon...I should have beat her when I had the chance.

Other than that...I am good.

I don't mind when people hate for colour, belief, ideologies and religious intolerance.

Those douchebags only make me feel superior.

And actually, I have NO problem with osama.....I believe he was a political scapegoat anyway.

We were not discussing about problem.

It was about loving sinner.

Won't it be an insult of Love to love those who are not worth?

They are not even worth of compassion.

You bought Osama up, not me.

Maybe you feel some are not worthy of love...i believe love is all we have. Love for another is never wasted. It is the ONLY thing that can change fear and hate....

When we decide who is worthy of love and who is not, would be be playing god then?
I'm not a religious person..however, my definition of 'god' would be love.

U said 'Love sinner',hence as an extreme example I brought him up & as I can see, even thinking of loving him is impossible for u,it's quite obvious.

I think u r not differentiating in love & compassion.

NO..I did not say 'love the sinner'

That is someone else's words.

I think you don't know enough about me to make a judgment on what
love, compassion or hate are to me.

Refer ur below quotes

YOU don't get to pick other people's 'sins'
it's very personal.

'Love the sinner hate the sin' is judging others...
we can't love while were judging.

Yeah,I don;t know much about u.

but I can conclude,u r a kindhearted person, but difference between is compassion & love is universally accepted & I'm not judging what those are for u.

on christmas eve, an indian youth was shot dead without any reason in a western country, his parents are residing in my town & I've experienced there deep sorrow very closely.

My concern about generalized hate is related with this issue.

"Love the sinner" was what others said...
is why i used "----"

I believe the term "love the sinner, hate the sin" is judgmental and I believe WE can not love others when we judge them.

The difference between love and compassion is for each of us to determine for ourselves, not for others to determine for us.

This is part of the problem, we seem to think what is good for us should be good for everyone.

I'm sorry for your loss. flowerforyou

You used, you believed means you said.

Now I'll tell this principal to that youth's parents & will
ask them to love his killer...

Didn't realize you were looking to me for the answer....

Well u didn't realized as I was not really looking,I'm just putting forth the applicability of your thoughts....have u noticed the impossibility of its application??

Look, I can not imagine what I would feel if I were to lose one of my sons, especially in such a violent manner.
I'm sure I would be a mess and totally lost from the pain.
I choose to experience love because there is so much hate in the world.I am not without my share of pain and violence...I just
can't stand the feeling I have when I hate, so I choose not to.

If the concept is impossible to apply, then don't.

I counted....u used 11 Times "I".

It's not about u or me or someone else, lid.

I pray lord krishna to not allow such hard time for anyone else & I'm literally no one to apply / not apply that concept to that family.

They must have sent their young son to FOREIGN with plenty of dreams in their mind & would have never thought of such tragedy.

Common men don't think of any revenge / hating ( nor even justice)
after that much huge loss & they just lives remaining life desperately. They don't find any interest in hating / loving those sinners & my question too is not about hating / loving the sinners but for the "generalized hating tendency of people"

I don't know prashant, I don't understand generalized hate.
I'm glad I don't, it must feel awful.

Ram Dass wrote a letter of condolences to the parents of a little girl named Rachel who was murdered. Here is the link to it.
It's a beautifully sad letter, maybe you can pass it on to your friends, maybe something in it can help them. flowerforyou

Take that crap to the well wishes or religion threads....

That is a good standard for generalized hate.

I don't believe it's an insult. They too, are on the road to 'enlightenment'. How will one ever overcome the wrath of hatred, if they are never shown love from someone that is compassionate & forgiving? Jesus, Buddah & Confuscious were just a few of them. I believe every soul is worthy of being helped to abolish hate from their lives and achieve the joys of love.

EXCELLENTflowerforyou flowerforyou

Thoughts are excellent to note down in diary, practically it is impossible & no one does it.

Loving or not hating sinners remains far away, people even hates innocents upto the extent of killing them.

Loving the killers is as bad as killing few more innocents.

People even stops loving their most beloved ones just due to small mistakes they made, that's why so many marriages do not last for life time.

billions of people on the earth and ALL of them are imperfect and have room to improve in some area or another

but many many people do perfect the art of looking at the situation and judging it instead of the person,,,

Thanks Krupa,

You have exhibited great humanity.

Very few people are able to see the things the way you see.

There's nothin you can do to stop this countless cycle of hatred. Every men and women goes through this. Hatred takes several forms. Jealousy, revenge, Irritation. Some people pray to end this but I tell ya... This chit wont stop unless we truly understand the feelings of each other, which I think is too tough.

That's true dude.

We can choose love and forgiveness over
hate and fear anytime we want it....
if we want it enough.

It's really not that hard.

Agreed.

We choose to let ourselves act or even think ignorant thoughts (hatred). We can just as easily choose not to even think that way.

My issue is the ignorance that leads to the hatred or acts of discrimination that come from the hatred. People don't even realize sometimes they are being ignorant and hateful because they are taught through family friends society religion, etc... that their form of discrimination is "right".

That is the dangerous kind of hatred.

Forgiveness has nothing to do with whether they deserve it or not, or because of a god or whatever. Forgiveness is done to make your spirit live in a loving place inside you. In other words it is for you to have more joy. Carrying hatred, feeling it, letting eat you from the inside out is terribly hard on you.

It really does help make life much better.

[colour=red]Not sure if you can ever stop loving someone fully. I'm sure that if i was married, and there was something affecting my marriage, i'd try my damned hardest to find solutions, rather than just throw in the towel, which you seem to see a lot of, these days. People are too quick to drop each other. I wonder why. Surely trying to stick together is what love is all about. I'm not so quick to go get a divorce, just cos me and my husband are arguing about something.

For many, quitting is a lot easier than working on solutions, and we live in an age where taking the easy way out seems more preferable.

ohwell Everyone has their own ways of coping. I can't speak for all couples. Either they'll want to save their marriage, or they'll just go flirt with some random stranger. It's up to them. We all have our own ways of getting through things.

As for generalized hate, it's everywhere. We'll never be able to stop it. People like what they like. I can't see how anyone can even begin to find solutions to put a stop to it. All you can do is live your life the way you want to live it. People may try to stop you. It's up to you, to not let the dregs of society get to you.

hate was always a four letter word growing up

its sad that people feel such an intensely negative energy consuming emotion about 'things' and scary that they feel it about 'people' who they usually have never met and have done nothing to them,,,,

Ive been the victim of crime twice and dont HATE the criminals who harmed me,,,, I just cant imagine,,,

I agree. You all know about that boyfriend who abused me when I was sick and almost lost my life last year (the medical board finally has enough that they are being investigated now BTW).

My friends want to go after that ex BF of mine.

I tell them all:

MY LOVE YOU EXCEEDS MY HATRED OF HIM BT A LONG SHOT. HE IS NOT WORTH THE EFFORT OR ENERGY OR TWO SECONDS IN POLICE CUSTODY.

I refer to my ex abuser as stupid less than useless manatee of a human being. And really that is unfair to manatees everywhere.

People like that if someone did kick his azz would not learn. He would not feel bad for what he did tome. He would be like "Poor me...Terri Lyn's guy friends beat the snot out of me for now reason.....she's such a biotch.....'

Hateful mean people are another thing like stars in the sky, cigarette butts on the street, scammers on the internet, there will always be more. You can't let your life get consumed with them or you yourself stop living. It's best to just remove yourself from that person's path and move on. All you can do is be open minded and not full of hate and enjoy your life to the fullest.

As I have said before, if you are hateful enough you can make a chemical dictionary into a manifesto to hurt people.

If I visit you and Soufie some day, point out those azzholes who hurt you to me. I have the fluffy bunny factor, I can kick their behinds and not get in too much trouble. Plus it's fun to kick a grown man'z azz in public. He will never hear the end of of how a little 155 pound 5'5" white girl beat the snot out of him.
