I use to think.
That love was like a miracle drink.
It had a taste.
That you did not drink in haste.
Let it go down slow.
Soon it will set your face aglow.
Make you feel that you can tackle anything.
For now you’re in full swing.
You feel as if you’re walking on air.
And you’re richer than a millionaire.
With all this treasure to bare.
You know there is nothing that will compare.
To the way it makes you feel.
As if you’re on a spinning wheel.
You hope that you never come down.
For it will surely leave upon your face a frown.
It has been told that love cures all.
And at times it will hit you like a cannon ball.
Make your head spin so fast.
Will make you wonder will this last.
Or is it just here for now.
Just to allow.
For one to only get a taste.
Then to have it replaced.
By a heart that has been broken.
From the words that were spoken.
From one you thought you loved.
Instead these words they shoved.
Right down your throat.
They just stood there and gloat.
Did it make them feel like number one?
Knowing your heart they had won.
As they sit back and smile.
Was it all worthwhile?
Just to see them like this.

i know how u feel i been hurt all my life

it seem like no one want a sweet guy in life

we all have been hurt all our lives one way or another as where many people write poetry to express there inner pain which is a good theripy, my daughter used to them all the time to express her inner pain and now she does jewerly to express her love. but yet you see her pain still inside... i wrote poems for the beauty of what i felt inside as well to express my inner pain...

Love is Love. The situations are the other element. I think it really has to do with the person or persons not love itself. I don't bash love i tend to leave it out of the equation here. Since your poem is about you being hurt by it. DOn't you think it was the person who hurt you responsibility to handle love in the first place toward you but it manipulated it. ? Instead.

Queene123 your right there is no one that has not been hurt in there lives one time or the other. There is no way in this life to get around that. And your correct the ones that write use it for a type of therapy best thing one can do is put there words upon the paper.


Iabel36 true love is love but love is is nothing without being put into action. I don't see that I bash love this is only stating what the differnt reaction is from the result or the turn of events that happens from being given love then to have it taken away from one.


And as far as the poem being about me NOT it is based on what I have heard from others at different times.
