YAH BEEN THERE, heard that story about DU, laughed at it before. the biggest problem would be with dust, which if inhaled could be a problem not so much because of the radiation but because its a heavy metal. thats why they sandwitch it between layers of who knows what when using it for armor. The penetrators are in fact all over in the desert but they tend to bury themselves deeply, and in any event would be harmless unless you crushed one(good luck trying) and breathed deeply. They have no scrap value so there wouldent be anyone collecting them for fun and profit.

yeah, they said that the levels weren't bad away from certain areas but because they used on missiles and such for the penetration value that the equipment that was being targeted had high recorded levels but i don't know what the actual recordings were.

yah i know all about clintons IQ. i know attended a college in Moscow that taught,, guess what.... Marksist communism. iVE NEVER SAID OR IMPLIED HES A DUMBASS. Hitler was a genius too. so was hussain and so are most leaders of thier countries. As for Bush being a dumbass, i dunnow about his IQ BUT I can guarantee you that you dont rise to be the leader of a country without being smarter than your average peasant. thats really beside the point.

as for the radiation levels, they could only be microscopic. i can get an elevated reading on a bananna, believe it or not. (potassiom 40)
i would be more concerned about the heavy metal dust factor, which could potenially be an issue. no one really knows the long term effects of this metal in the body. A simple dusk mask offers adequate protection from that however. |

all this rethoric we hear about DU, for example, comes around every election and is always the fault of the current president whoever he is. same story, insert name of president/target here.

please rambill anyone with bucks can be president.Bush is smart like a fox and has surrounded himself with brainiacs. The problem is most brainiacs lack common sense and empathy with the common man.they also have a superiority complex.
any of this sound familiar? |
not trying to bash bush but i don't see him being anything close to smart as a fox. with all of the members of the administration and advisors around him it's kinda irrelevant i think.
smart like a fox means sly and sneaky..

i know cutelil. i see him more as, i'm gonna give them this reason and don't give a rip if they accept it or not.

George Bush is the worst president this country has ever seen.
He lied to everyone, and if you are so blind when the facts are staring you in the face, then there is no hope for you to ever open your eyes. You guys keep going back to how congress gave approval for the war, but if you told you parents when you were a teenager, that there wasn't going to be alcohol and a party and they gave there permission, would the fact that you lied to get their permission make you any less guilty just because they gave their permission? If you look at the wording of the UN mandates, you will see (if you can comprehend) that they did not give their permission for us to invade Iraq. The reason we had to go at it almost alone, and the reason that we are still there almost alone is because every intelligence agency in the world, ours included (if you open your eyes and read the real reports) knew Saddam didnt have any WMD. The crap that was found (101st..) was predated, uselessly depleted and left over from before 1991. (if you read the facts) Thats the problem, here say, and an inability to admit your firm, illusioned devotion, to the God you call George Bush, is a lie. Thats why when 73% of the population has turned on him, you find yourselves in a minority. If you ask me, you should move to Cuba, or Russia, or N. Korea if you want to live under a dictator. True red-blooded Americans dont want that, and your attitudes make you about as unAmerican as Fidel Castro!!! |

sorry adj4u, but ivy leagues only require intelligence to get into if you don't have a family legacy with lots of money, or a skill at sports. bush had 2 of the 3, and i bet he was even intelligent back in college, before the drugs killed his brain cells.
and fanta, dang, you said it nice and clear. you know what really gets me about the bush administration? this country was founded on thinking for yourself and standing up to powers you don't believe in. how many times have protests changed the country for the better? off the top of my head, i can name the revolution from england, black civil rights, women's rights, and vietnam... with bush around, protesting makes you "unpatriotic" and you are liable to be arrested as a terrorist. and what's up with fox news? "fair and balanced" is a bunch of crap if you ask me... |

Couldn't agree more, jwaddy, but don't forget Bush HAS had athletic experience. After all, he WAS a male cheerleader in his youth.
Your second point is right on the money. Whatever happened to "respectfully disagreeing" these days. The mantra of this administration, Fox News, and talk radio is that if you disagree with anything Bush says, you're aiding the enemy. WTF??? Hell, if disagreeing with Bush & Co. was a crime, I'd be on the 10 most wanted list. I've noticed the same thing on this site. Almost nobody will respectfully disagree with you when you are critical of Bush. There are some(gardenforge is an example) that WILL engage in respectfully discussing the issues calmly. Others refuse to do this, instead throwing the "liberal commie" term out every 3rd word. Listen, we agree, we disagree. Let's stick to issues. If you're unknowledgable on a subject(no one knows EVERYTHING), stay out of it. Namecalling is not an acceptable sub for lack of knowledge on a particular subject. |

well thank you cbx! I DO SUPPORT MY PRESIENT AND TROOPS IN IRAQ. How many more women, chikldren and simply VILLAGES would it take being beaten, murdered, GASSED, by hussein would you enjoy watching at the hands of hussein? Recently an entire VILLAGE was found, 140 MEN, WOMEN, CHILDREN, and BABIES DECAPITATED at the hands of AL quaeda.
Hussein and his insanity and REFUSAL to allow the UN into that country to inspect is exactly what got us involved again. And of course the LONG HISTORY OF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY. Gee...I reckon i can proudly stand here and support MY COUNTRY AND TROOPS. OH! and cbx...GOD BLESS AMERICA! |

1)raise your hand if your old enough to remember all that stuff barbie just said.
2) raise your hand again if you agree that the media/ect seem to have forgotton all this and replaced it with half truths. |

Well, Im old enough to know that half that **** is bull****.
Saddam was not a very good Muslim, and I have read reports that he had a contract to kill Osama if hr ever went to Iraq, and that Osama had a contract on Saddam. There was no tie between the two, and Al Quieda was never in Iraq before we removed him and created an area where Al Quieda could kill Americans at will, without even buying a plane ticket. Challenge- show me one legitimate article or account of Al Quieda's involvement in Iraq before we invaded, and I'll show you one that says we gave the gas to saddam that was used to gas the village that everyone talks about. Furthermore, I will show you a report that says the gassing was caused by the villagers refusal to leave the area and the Iraqi's poor planning for wind direction. They were attempting to gas Iranian forces, in an area North of Bagdad. You first...... |
i'll try to find them but i actually read a couple that stated al queda was in iraq in the mid 90's but it was not by invitation from saddam. the articles go on to say that saddam made them leave soon after he discovered they were there.
