What are the most annoying pets you can think of?

Now I have had my share of pets and each has their own downsides. Take rats for instance. Smarter than hell. Small and they eat anything you feed them. They are great pets in their own right but they smell and can inflict a wicked bite. Also they have very short life spans and chew on everything including electrical wires.

Dogs can be outright stupid and some just don't learn squat. Also who wants to pick up dinosaur turds when you walk them or have to clean up a yard. Dogs also can e very destructive.

But for raw annoyance value I think cats win that one hands down. Some cats make great pets so don't get me wrong but most of the time they cannot learn past their own nature. And when you have more than one of them in one house and they begin to have a pissing war, well, lets just say that is part of the many reasons I don't own or have any intentions of owning a cat at all. I would rather put up with a Ferret if I need a mouser. Hell, if I want a pet with attitude and smells I will get a skunk or a fox. At least a fox is just as good a mouser as any cat but you need a yard and they are total diggers. But still what pets annoy you most?

Heck I even had pet tarantulas and some people freak the hell out over spiders.

But still, does one always blame the owner for bad pets?spock

Well I grew up with TONS of animals. And you are right alot of em have downsides. But the most annoying pet I ever had was a parakeet. The dang bird would never shut up!frustrated she would bite me whenever I tried to pick it up and it hated the rest of the birds. Never owning another single bird again!

I have had pigeons, sparrows, starlings, kept three varieties of parrot for vacationing friends. Birds are just tough to deal with sometimes. Parrots are too smart for their own good. Parakeets are not all that bright. Oddly a friend of mine keeps a pair and they just laid four eggs! Finches breed like bacteria! Cocatiels, lets just say I see them as good target practice!

I have only had 4 finches and 12 parakeets. It was a mad house for awhile having all those birds at home! I hope you were smarter than I was and didn't have all those birds at once lol. You know what other pet is annoying, hamsters...they chew on the cages, they bite you, they escape too easily, and they run on the wheel all night! I had only one good hamster in my life time.

I had cats. Male and female, siblings. They were mysterious and playful. The male would bite your toes when sleeping. Not the mention kneeding my water bed before I had them declawed. Can we say "water leaks". Let me not forget the dead rodents he brought me home. Life was better after they were both declawed and in the house. bigsmile

My dog, A labor-mut, I had rescued on his way to the pound. He was the best pet. I had to roll over in bed and keep my eyes closed or he would kiss me good morning. He was a true companion. I prefer dogs to many people even. bigsmile

Since I am a mom; we had our share of hampsters, birds, fish, mice, guinea pigs, hermit crabs and rabbits. We even had turtles that lived in our yard and a set of mallards that returned to our home for years.bigsmile

I drew the line at rats, snakes and bugs. I had to limit it somewhere.indifferent flowerforyou

And yes we had a pet cemetary as well.tears

toddlers, and kids....

for some reason, the little b@st@rds love me and I find myself being the one to have to entertain them and teach them bad words.

They should be kept in cages as nature intended.

Yes. It's always the owners.

If cats smell and spray, then they're unneutered males, and there's really no excuse for that.

To me, fish are annoying. All maintenance, no pleasure.

I had one cat that annoyed the heck outta me , persistent
mewing for attention, food, wanting out , wanting back in , or he would sit at the door mew to go out I get up open door he would look at me and mew and run to the couch. Then if he didn't want attention he would turn into a devil spit and bite, that dang cat had issues.
He was the only cat that I have had that did that , he would aggravate me to no end, but I miss the little brat and loved him in a way.
He passed peacefully in his sleep at age 16.

I was a breeder of fish for a while. You never seen the attitudes of some of my fish. I had fish that would take food from my fingers and some that would jump out of the water for food. Also I had fish that would get physically excited to see me.

Snakes have no personality other than they are there and they eat and poop.

Yappy little dogs can be annoying. But even then, some of them are cute once in awhile.
