Mmmm I think it would be the same as telling them you don't like the way they write. Rude might be too strong a word for allowing them their individuality. For a lot of people, they have put up what they think is their very best. Criticizing could undermine confidence.

is it rude to tell someone that the picture he or she is using on whatever site isn't good? or that he or she could do better? i'm talking pictures of themselves of course. i'm pretty sure i'm going to get: 'i don't give a **** what you think.' but i'm the one looking at it, dear. o.O why are you even asking? you don't strike me as the type who'd care 'what you think' if it bothers you, say so your intuition is probably right because we all have that 'beh' mentality some are just 'nice' about it at the same time if you say it with a certain level of respect the outcome shouldn't become a 'fight' (so to speak) but if you cast stones some will throw them back runs

I think people know their pics are not good. I don't tell them unless they ask. With today's cameras and a camera on every cell phone, there is no excuse for not having a decent picture for your profile. Some dating sites usually ask that its a picture of you or that you are at least in the picture.
