Back and forth the swaying of the trees
follow in the same pattern together.
The leaves fall.Decomposition delicately
assumes it's role.The blanket of vibrant
colors soon perish & fade into the dark
soil.The clouds above cry and wash away
any evidence of the former defeat.All
that remains are empty branches.Still,
the unseen remains confident of its
purpose.Beneath the surface,the rings
of strength etched deep within the bark
are only permitted to grow after the
season's selective death.
