Prediction: World War III.

The Euro and the Dollar are in huge trouble. China has now more atomic bombs and much less access to crude oil than white man.

Looking back at the nineteenth and twentieth centuries of stability, with four big wars: Napoleonic in early 1800s, and the Great War in Europe, both in the teens of the respective centuries. Then in the middle of the nineteenth century there was the the sweep of communist revolutions in Europe in the industrial countries with well devleloped capitalist systems, and democratic revolutions in less developed European countries, which urged capitalism. In the middle of the twentieth century, there was the WWII.

At the same time, my private observation is that both the American and the European banking- and financial crises are well explicable by convenient fiscal policies. In America, the interest rates were kept down, artificially, so the government won't be bankrupted by the debt burden. In Europe, the interest rates were kept low by keeping the same currency current in disparate regions, some with natuaral demands of high interest rates.

China... short- or near-sighted fiscal policies... overpopulation... scarcity of oil... too many losers filling up the auditoriums at the student union meetings at universities... greed... yes, greed... escapism... the stopping of the space program (where will we get our space, if the astronauts don't go out there to harvest it and bring it home?)

I predict war. Big time. 99.99 percent of population wiped out in five seconds into the war, and the rest of us, the four million surivors and their descendants, will die out in another five billion years, guaranteed.
