Are you a realist? A pessimest, or a optimist? Does this have an influence in your dating life or the type of a person you are looking for in your life as a significant other?

can U just say "she said it for me"

any negativity - any at all - just starts a downward spiral that is difficult to stop

but I find that most people are negative and it can be difficult for them to change their thinking

I'm an optimistic pessimist .

My first impressions are nearly always correct but I always give someone the opportunity to prove me wrong.

I am a definite realist and have been often accused of seeing the details rather than the big picture, but it is often the details that others overlook and they come unstuck because they didn't go into the subject in detail, (if you know what I mean).

Hmmm they don't have any head-scratching smileys, not that I have nits or anything.

See, I think the others are correct to a point, I think the realist sees the details OF the big picture. Which is how I view the world.

Does this interfere with dating or does this trait help with dating?

Lex those were not any of the 3 choices. LOL But ok, of the 3 you listed, how do they help or hinder in dating?

Well, I guess I'd have to say I'm skeptical/cynical about the whole dating concept. I suppose that could be seen as "pessimistic" but I prefer to see it as realistic. Dating, per se, requires two people (at the very least), and I haven't been able to find a second person in the last three years.

Well it took me 5 years, I know that is not a magic number, but I as an realist belive that given the probibliity that the one for you is not on line or found mingle just yet, it will happen for you given more time. Just always stay just as you are.

It takes the romance out of dating and it is probably better to be with a like-minded person who also sees the details. Then the couple can discus the details together. Lack of communication is the worst thing in a relationship.
