I remember how this song really pissed me off. It starts how the guy starts out to look for love, to find love. So I figured, all I'd need to do to steal his trade secret and learn how to find love, is to listen to the lyrics.

The lyrics, however, don't tell you zit all. The lyrics don't even say if he found love.

The hardest lesson in life is this:

You have hopes
You don't know the future
You can't calculate probabilities
If you can calculate probabilities, they mean nothing, as the slightest chance to win may win you the game (like one in a billion chance still wins a body a lottery game) and the slightest chance to lose may net you no success
You never know which way love, the game, job hunt, etc. will turn out for you
And sometimes they turn out, sometimes they don't, and there is very, but very little that you can do about it, if IF! if anything at all.

So it's nice to hear others tell you that you will find love if you are patient, and keep looking and the loverboy will appear, etc. etc, but this type of advice is not based on any evidence, or on any reasonable thought; they are well meant, and warm, and wishing you well, but they do nothing else.

So... the hardest lesson is...? Anyone?

the hardest lesson is that you have the prospect of not finding love, ever, and the prospect that you will find true love.

You won't know until one or the other happens:
1. You find true love, in which case you are a winner, and
2. You die without having found love.

There are no other outcomes. You have to face this. Hope helps, but hope kills. There is nothing YOU, personally, can do about this; there is no reason for you to blame yourself or blame anyone else regarding this.

This is what we are: we're just lost souls, running around, aimlessly, randomly, like a fish swimming in a fish bowl. Running over the same old ground, what are we going to find? the same old fears, the same old hopes.

Love is a two way street that takes alot of work and compromise. Everyone wants love unconditionally, but the life partner deserves the same. That takes compromise.

Just strike up a conversation. I am sure he will burn for you soon.

It will happen when you least expect it. When a person is searching they may give off a vibe. If you relax and keep all your options open you will give off an air that will have them flocking to you! Join clubs and societies, don't pass by any opportunities to be in a gathering of like-minded people to yourself. Even make more friends of the same gender as you as you will then have a wider social network to find someone special.
