I always thought kids in austrailia coastal towns learn to surf like we learn to ride a bicycle is this true and will surfers paradise be like disneyland with kiddies everwhere?

Well I guess its like anything, I have 6 munchkins, they spent part of their childhood down south on the beaches and although some of them learnt to surf not all of them where that interested, although they can all swim like fish and jump on the board to have a paddle, they where more into motorbikes and stuff like that.
But also saying that they can all read the beach and know if its safe or not to jump in the water, they can get out of a rip and I wouldnt worry about them drowning if they got stuck somewhere.
Of course being eaten by a shark is another matter.

I dont think you will find anywhere in Australia quiet as mad as your big cities, but our major ones are pretty hectic,
Surfers Paradise and the Sunshine Coast are two of Australia's biggest tourist Attractions so there will be a lot of people there.

But saying that our beaches are not crowded just remember that if you do not know the surf , dont swim out of the flags, it;s not safe.

Take notice of warning signs and ask a local where the safest places to swim are.
The local blokes will be friendly and helpful, if you dont know the surf they will help.

Enjoy our country , its great.
