girls especially when they are in groups and public. React so unnaturally. Shouting and laughing, so as to attract the passerby. Is this mode of behaviour correct?

Im not sure I follow what youre saying.

Is it the volume of their voice you object to?

What do you mean unnaturally?

I have a feeling BP is heading back toward the subject of older women and his preference for them. I think he is talking about how animated and maybe immature he finds younger women especially when they are socializing as a group. Before anyone can really comment on his OP, he will need to provide more definitive info, his opening statement is too vague...indifferent

I think I understand this. I've been a part of "the group", usually as one of the quieter ones. But if you have studied human behavior, you may have studied, even as an amateur that females do try to attract male attention by posturing or being loud enough to be noticed. Sometimes there is an unsaid competition between different groups of girls, so as to be the most noticeable. They want to come across as fun and outgoing, though often it is not a conscious act in my opinion.

BTW: Leigh, I think you are a stunningly beautiful woman....just had to say.

Some are conscious and some are blatant.

Yes Karma, you are making a very valid point when you talk about "the group" thing..Like you, I was one of the quieter ones. I can go a step further and tell you that I actually stopped running with a few of my "groups" because things too often got too animated...There is strength in numbers! I don't think women who do this type of posturing in public realize they are putting off more people than they are attracting. And you are right again when you say often it is not a conscious act. At times, we all get caught up in the excitement of the moment and just let go of our inhibitions because it's fun!!!

And, thank you!blushing blushing

Oh, and I just want to add this...I have watched guys in "groups" do the very same thing, but without the stigma that is often attached to female groups when they let loose in public.... flowerforyou

You should be around a bunch of guys when they have had a few beers. Will make the girls sound like church mice. laugh

In my opinion:

1. Some women are loud in public to draw the attention of others and be noticed.

2. Some women are naturally loud regardless of where they are.

3. Some women are sometimes quiet and get ‘loud’ after a few bevvies (alcoholic drinks).

There is nothing “unnatural” about this behaviour says someone that has exhibited all three laugh

I don't know these girls. Are you sure you haven't been running into Snookie over and over?
