You know, when people stop thinking of the bible as just

a myth, is when people will finally begin to realize, that

the Bible has the answer to every question ever asked......

answers to questions which can be found no where else.

It's all in that book called the Bible....and many great

scientists and physicists are now finally beginning to see

this for fact.

I think we should all wait for the news from LHC to see whether theories and fact match or not.... people rush too fast in theory ( remember the neutron faster than the speed of light )

I'm not aware of a neutron faster than the speed of light. I think you mean neutrino. And it wasn't a theory, it was a test result that even the testers didn't believe.

ONLY GOD KNOWS:angry:

abadhutamla,

So why the angry face?

What are you angry about?
(Your profile says you are "a sweet honest guy.'
Could that be a sweet, honest and sometimes angry guy?

Morningsong would have inserted something like this:

ONLY GOD KNOWS!flowerforyou

Jeannie....., how can

there possibly be multiverses ,when the Universe is Infinite...

how do you divide Infinity ....

numbers, divisions, separations, dimenions, ....none of this exists

in Eternity.......they are limited to our earth existence only.

Eternity has no beginning and no end.... Time ceases to be in Eternity.
flowerforyou:heart:flowerforyou

If the (over-all) universe is infinite, there has to be multiverses because scientists claim that they have measured the exact size of this universe, and it isn't infinite according to them.

Therefore, if the universe (everything) is infinite, there has to be more universes out there besides this one, all connected to this one since this one is not infinite.

...time always existed even before man..just like other universes existed before ours...spock

scientists claimed the earth was flat at one time to... there is no way any scientist can make that claim with any kind of truth... maybe there is a multiverse, but there is not one shred of evidence to prove it in any way...

You haven't been keeping up. There is evidence of the multiverse.

But there is no proof of the Big Bang theory either.

What are you doing now, defending the current status quo that the Big Bang is fact?

(Scientists never claimed that the earth was flat.

It was the Bible believers.)

no, it never says anything in bible about the earth being round or flat, it came from mans imagination...just like the bible...

It was not the bible believers. I can give more references from the bible of the Earth being round or spherical if you wish.

Isaiah 40:21-22

21Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

22It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in

Cowboy you are right.

It was not the 'believers' that brought flatearth...

However they did allow their elders to 'decide' what reality was.

So although the bible said it not...

the religion that sprang up around it did.

In those areas where the 'bible' held sway over government.

I stand corrected. It was not the Bible.

I'm not sure I would regard them as "scientists" either.

And not everyone agreed with them.

Interesting how the believers didn't bring forth flat earth, but the belief did. That's sort of an oxymoron. The believers are the one's that have the belief, so therefore if the belief says the Earth is round, the believers do the same. For if they do not, they are not believers. But since this is Science forum and not religion, I will not go further with that particular discussion. Just posted the verse(s) to show that the Christian faith did indeed teach that the world was round long before it was shown to be proven fact by science.

Science fact.

Church prosecuted a scientist for claiming the Sun as the Center of our Star system (instead of the earth).

that same Church prosecuted many others for saying the earth was round... and put some of them to death.

This is a FACT.

that Church was the 'very elect' of Christianity (as-it-was-practiced-at-the-time)...

Have you then claimed that early Christians were not 'believers'...?

Tue 11/15/11 10:01 PM
So then it was the church, not the Bible that pushed the lie about the flat earth?

JB is correct - no scientific community has ever collectively embraced the idea that the earth was flat.

This is a common myth intended to exaggerate the ways in which scientists can be committed to falsehoods.

Aristotle in 340 B.C. said the Earth was a sphere. Science took a downturn in the dark ages.

The bible DOES NOT have the answer to every question ever asked.

Question: How old is the earth? (if you prefer: When did God create the Earth?)

Question: How do we know carbon dating to be accurate?

Question: When the bible was translated, how much of the origional text was mis-interpreted and how much was delibertly left out or changed due to the corrupt desires of a few individuals?

When religious fanatics stop following blindly and use their minds they will have a chance to break the brainwashing cycle that keeps them mentally imprisioned.
