I find that a well placed tuba is romantic!

I got contacted from a guy here and I was into him but he felt our personifies were not going to work out in the end and ended things. Other than that I haven't had much luck.

I have been on sites where I was literally pelted with e-mails from their members! And most of them locals. But all totally unsuitable for one reason or another. Actually, usually about 27 reasons each.

Here, it's different. I get lots of e-mail here, too, but NONE of it from locals. I tried e-mailing some of them, but they NEVER reply, so screw that. I'm fine here as long as I never expect to hear from anyone closer than 897,000 miles away.

I have signed up with a couple of other sites to see if maybe the Illinois people there are a little more open to talking to somebody....

Myself I don't even try just come to the forums to enjoy a few laughs and write my poems and post them I don't do the search thing I answer what few emails I get. Most of my e-mails are strictly from friends that we have some laughs together but nothing else.

I have be the writer and receiver. However, the only one I actually went on a second and third date with was one that initiated contact with me. Hmmmm? Sounds like a science experiment? All this thinking is overrated.

Rivergirl you are right in seeking for yourself, be patient it will happen. Stay picky about what you really want. Along the way you will meet great friends, I know, I have. I haven't necessarily sought men from this site but other ones and I have met some really great people through this process. I am more able to know what really interests me than someone else can. It will work for you eventually sometimes it will take years sometimes just months. Hang in there and believe it will come to you.
