I have seen what a college education can do to some people. I have known intelligent people with very open and inquiring minds be totally ruined by a college education. It was as if they were brainwashed or something. I'm not saying that happens to everyone, but people are so programmable.

Oh I know and the modern education system is ripe with programming to say the least.

Not all education is gotten at a school or college.
Like I said before, some people need that diploma to "prove" they know something.

Besides all that degrees and stuff really don't mean much in the grand scheme. You can have a PHD in whatever and STILL be ignorant and clueless, just as much as you can have none of that and know exactly what's going on.

Really all a degree is is a piece of paper, it's what is in your head that counts. That just can't be all encompassed in one thing.

Sure a degree in say health and human performance may be useless when talking about orbital patters of celestial objects but a degree in physics, engineering, material science, etc isn't when discussing topics like we have been.

Also degrees are not irrelevant in the grand scheme. Most jobs worth having require them.

i can say this- people that went to college learn more than people that do not.. a degree doesn't mean they are better, just more knowledgeable. people that don't go to college, pretty much stay stagnant in the learning curve. A high school drop out may be able to learn just like anyone in college, but doesn't because they don't wanna learn...

That's a pretty general statement. I'm sure its not true in all cases. Some people with no college actually get rich in their own business.

that was my point, education means book smart, which is very handy, but means very little if you have no common sense

It all depends on what you want to do or learn. If you want to be a doctor or build skyscrapers you have to go to school.

These days even doctors are ultra specialized. It is rare to find one that actually does personal care and healing. So many are just glorified drug pushers.

With computers, a systems analyst, a web developer and a game creator will get together and they can't even communicate. They basically speak completely different languages.

I think those in power want us to think we need college and all this other stuff to be smart instead of learning on our own. That way we become dependent on them, and they can feed us whatever BS they want in so doing.

Oh and on no college.......the name Bill Gates comes to mind........just saying.

I like to look at the big picture. Then examine the details.

The big picture is that the government has been caught with its hand in the till, and its pants down too many times. (..and I'm not just talking about Bill Clinton.. )

What we learn from that is:

1. Don't trust the government, especially the ones at the top.

There are always suspicious deaths surrounding all of these types of cases. The mysterious and suspicious deaths are usually witnesses, whistle blowers and dissenters.

People who say there is "no proof" don't know what they are talking about. There is plenty of proof. They tend to judge "proof" by what authority they accept. If the "proof" is not offered and accepted by the official authority in charge then for them, it is not proof.

Evidence of explosives were found. There is proof of an explosion. 1400 cars were melted, burned and rusted. There is proof of something strange. Witnesses were killed and injured by explosions. There is proof.

Even the "official reports" do not jive.

When the people who run the country are the terrorists, they can't be expected to convict themselves. That is not "common sense."

It is like a serial killer who is also the police chief, who is investigating the killings.

THERE IS NO OVERSIGHT. Everything is "CLASSIFIED." It is classified to protect the guilty.

"National security" is to protect the criminals, it is not to protect the country. If we were any good at "protecting the country" the attack on the Twin Towers would have never happened.

There were plenty of warnings.

so, who do you want to investigate it? you have shot down everyone that has, saying the same thing over and over... your saying the web knows more than the government? and the web is well known for it's honesty...whoa

Independent people are investigating as best they can considering the ones in charge do not release any information and considering that they try to classify everything.

These "truthers" are not all uneducated conspiracy nuts. They are scientists and engineers and professors. And they are doing a better job investigating than the government hired people.

But when certain people are above the law, there is nothing we can do about it except revolt. But a revolt is what the powers in charge want so they can declare Marshall law and start arresting dissenters and putting them in prison (camps) and executing people. In a revolt, lots of people die for no reason because utter chaos reigns.

I don't support a revolt. I just want people to wise up and stop cooperating with the criminal element.

there has been plenty of independent investigations, but if they don't agree with what you think, and you truthers shoot it down... there is nothing that will satisfy yall. your mind is already saying it was a big cover-up, and no matter what anyone says, your(truthers) mind won't change...

Yes there are plenty of independent investigations. They don't have to "agree" with what I think because I don't know what to think except that the official story is a big fat lie and they have not proved their case. Their story is lame.

I find more credible information coming from real independent investigations and truthers. The "government" sponsored investigations are not exactly "independent." If you know of any credible independent investigations I would be happy to know about them.

What I see here is that people who attempt to "defend" the official lame story don't really have any real convincing evidence and I can't figure out why they believe the official story.

Seriously, do you actually believe the official story?

Do you believe a small fire in Building 7 caused it to fall without explosives?

Do you believe that the twin towers collapsed in a pancake style one floor on top of another floor all the way to the ground in ten seconds with no explosives?

Do you believe that no one in our government had anything to do with the attack and that Osama Bin Laden and AlQaeda did it all?

If so, then there are thousands of questions that have not been answered about that story. Thousands.
