I was really turned on by women with power tools until I watched some who could use a sledge hammer. Does anyone else watch the DIY channel? I thought the latest Mega Man Cave show with the fish emailing from the aquarium to the guy that they were hungry just went too far.laugh

I like machetes and chainsaws, personally. LOL! Though a sledgehammer comes in handy. I've got to get the old chicken pen and house knocked done, and will probably have to use the sledge.

LOL! Fortunately, or unfortunately, they aren't. But the building is kinda scary, and I don't have enough tea tree oil to dose and cuts and slashes.

Though I don't put it past both horses, and especially dork horse, Gentry, to "help". As long as he doesn't run off with the sledgehammer, it's all good.

Well, when I am not pumping iron, I have been known to swing a sledge hammer or two. bigsmile

I had to learn how to use an ax and a splitting maul at an early age. Not only did it help to get my anger out but it helped the strength in my arms. It teaches one to watch where they are aiming at or otherwise one can hurt themselves. Plus it got me on good terms with the cook. After one uses a sledge hammer for a while an ax doesn't seem that hard of a swing. I really like watching them when they discover that they should have turned the electricity off or got carried away and made the hole too big. "I hate my bathroom" is another one of my favorites. I once told my ex that I will help move the furniture in the living room but the bathroom furniture is staying where it is. But then I watched the "I hate my bathroom" show.

I've had so many ideas when it comes to remodeling my house but I haven't been able to pick up a sledge hammer and "tear down" anything...It just seems too sad and too mean to "rip" anything apart...Maybe I'm just too sentimental! I cringe when I see people tear down walls or bust-up cabinets (etc.) on remodeling shows...But in the end I usually admire the "finished designs!"...I enjoy creating and building things in general. But when it comes to my house I feel "gun-shy!" (Or "sledge hammer shy!")...I guess I must have some "conservative sides" when it comes to tampering with my house. Maybe I'll be able to work through my fears and phobias in time!

I am not sure what a sledge hammer is, as
I try to avoid most of the man tools.

Fascinating! I've never understood that. People who can't do things in color, or make changes to their houses have always made me curious as to why they were uncomfortable.

I love watching remodeling shows, and making or changing things. Even if it's little things. But big things are fun too!

A sledgehammer comes in handy when using a wedge to split wood

I have a 3/8 inch variable speed reversing drill. I like to tell people that. It sounds like I know what the heck I am talking about.

My latest fascination on the fix up shows is corkboard. You can unroll or tile with it. I saw this fascinating show where it was in like big puzzle pieces. I haven't been this fascinated since working with Lego pieces. I always wanted to build a real house with Lego pieces.

I have never tried it with Paydough but according to the commercials you can do it with Playdough. Just wondering if anyone has tried it with Paydough?

Mom told me to just have the bulldozer to come in and push it to the back of the four acres. One of my friends was wanting the tin off the building. I tried raising chickens and had 17 but what the dogs didn't get the chicken hawks did. I did find one egg in the yard where the chickens tried. It is just easier to get someone else raising chickens.
