I really don't have a story, other than one similar to the op. I do have a question, though..

When is the DMV not a nightmare?

The last time i went to the DMV, i waited for over two hours, while i watched some of the most incompetent, unorganized people i have ever seen, (excluding the current government, of course) drag around as if there were no one present. I was so annoyed, by the time i got my turn, i opted to renew my license for 10 years, in an effort to avoid these people as long as possible.

I dont think there are enough people in our town to have to wait that long..

well there's not enough people in my nearest town either so the DMV is only opened 2 days a week!!! what a joke. so i drive 30 miles to the next town that has one, at least they are open 5 days a week lol

That is the deal here. I live in a rural area (small town) and you have to go to a bigger town to visit a DMV office. Nonetheless, if they are going to keep 30 people, or more, waiting for 2+ hours, then there should be snack machines and seating arrangements. There may have been 6 or 8 chairs, and people standing for all that time.

ha ha that's some real funny stuff there, but on a serious note. turning gray is not for everyone, and now with just for men, we don't have to

So there comes a time we all have to finally breakdown and go get our license renewed or changed.

I went today due to I could not do it online this year since I have the last couple of years.

Not only was I there two hours but had to hear a screaming kid as well...scared

Do you have and horror stories when you had to go do this task?whoa

I usually go to AMA on my lunch hour and kids are in school. I am not there for longer than about 45 minutes as I go during the week.
