Topic: Faith In Humanity | |

Hello Just Say Hi gang....just a little tiny rant, and then.....
There is someone on the site who has taken a few notches down my faith in humanity. I will never name names, but I am extremely disappointed with this person. I thought we were friends and I was totally stabbed in the back. Question to the gang...have you ever been totally let down by a supposed friend...I mean out of the blue? That you were clueless that this friend would take advantage of you and your kind-heartedness? I am also going to be leaving the site fairly soon. I will make a goodbye post then. Suzy says hi to everyone...I will see her Tuesday and then she is spending a week with me here in North Myrtle Beach!!! I can't wait!!! Thanks for reading and responding. Ken |

Hang in there Ken...The minute you think you've lost faith some random act of kindness will slap you in the face...I've seen it over and over.

I hate to hear it but don't judge everyone else based on the actions of one person. Hate to see anyone go. Makes this place less interesting.

Humanity can be a downer. That's why I stick to primates, they're hairier but a whole lot easier to love.

<------goes off to ponder this for about 3 minutes.... |

Ken...I'm pretty sure you've heard the story before..I tend to repeat these things.....but......I HAVE to believe that goodness is everywhere and just as strong if not stronger.
I was walking down to check out the sunset. I could see a couple of hundred yards ahead some 13-14 year olds. I could tell just by body language because they were mock fighting...one pushing another into the street making a car hit it's brakes. Also they were using their free hands (without surfboards) to do some kind of gansta rap jestures. La Jolla being such a Hip Hop mecca and all. I was guilty of rolling my eyes a bit, but I remember the age. In the foreground I noticed an older lady who seemed a bit disoriented. Yep, the kids beat me to her. Put their surfboards down and helped her across the street and made sure she got in her building ok. Humanity......Good Humanity is everywhere.....even when some people disappoint you. |

I have absolutely NO faith in humanity. We are flawed. I do however cherish the love and respect from a few but in general mankind makes mistakes.

Thanks nurjoyce
Just HAVE to believe that MOST people want to be helpful, honest, and honorable! |
|
|
|
I don't for many reasons
|
|
|
|
i am a nurse and i see it every day in my co-workers!
people have hurt me, but to give up on thinking there are helpful, honest, and honorable people would be like giving up on myself. |

Don't get me wrong I believe there are people who do great things. However, if most people in general are "good" which is subjective then would we have war, illegal activity, rape, murder, drugs, racism, poor people, etc?
No once can judge, so I'm not going to say "most" people are good in general. nurjoyce my brother is in the medical field and I do respect that field. I've had many experiences with workers in the medical field. They make mistakes just like any human that unfortunately result in death at times. So I just avoid the whole "good" thing |

I run in to people all the time who are hungry
HUNGRY for a life of service. There are no doubt MANY who believe a life without some kind of service to community (the local "humanity") is a life somehow not complete. |
