A New Tomorrow

Underneath the painted shadow
you see as
is the darkness of a thousand yesterdays
A quiet pain
that seems to dampen the ember I’ve so entrusted my soul

I rise and then fall to a daily grind
giving exceptions only to chance

A song and dance
divine in its conception
is the art from whence we notice
a simple drop of rain
catering to the needs of a thousand flowers

Roses bloom

Soon
there is an ease to tomorrow
a time where I can speak candidly about the once quiet pain
and she listens
The ember burns brighter
and my is heart able
to again trust love
