Soul’s Storm


Sorrow;
elegant in the shadows of the smile
that covers my pain
is the only light within me
flickering as a candle soon to die
my hands tremble
searching
needing
begging
for something
for someone
to hold

Clouds stretch across my soul
as the rains begin to pour from the opened windows
the storm’s winds take my breath away
almost as if it were trying to take my very last breath
I fight
dying
I fight
the storm continues

Thanks Mig.I do have to say after really taking the time to read what is posted on this forum-there is so much talent. Whether written from life experience or just knowing the meanings of words and how to put them together-amazing! It doesnt matter how the words are initiated-it's about inspiring the reader, touching the reader. When that happens-it's a beautiful thing.
