I bet after reading this thread there are a lot of women shaking their heads and losing respect for some men too, and with good reason.

People don't have to get married to have kids. I know people who are not married but happily committed to each other and they have kids. I also know people who live apart, have kids, and manage to make good lives for themselves. Getting married becasue of pregnancy is a lie and a sham too! I will NEVER EVER marry for that reason. Also just becasue I am having sex with a woman means nothing to me. It is the underlying relationship that means something to me. A pregnancy resulting from a casual encounter (casual sex or FWB) does not entitle anyone to exclusive rights to me. It isn't my responsibility when she was out for her gratification with no intention of a relationship to me. Trying to dump a pregnancy on me after a casual encounter is BS and I will not be forced into accepting any responsibility what so ever. I would be very resistant to being forced to pay child support in a case like that. For all I care she should pull the plug and not dump a responsibility like that on me. If I was committed to a woman and she turned up pregnant we will figure out what we will do when that happens and there I would accept responsibility. And far too many people are under the impression that birth control protects from STDs. NOT! Also Abstinence does not work when you already had sex before! I can't buy that one. People are too screwed up on false morality. abstinence is merely The fact or practice of restraining oneself from indulging in something so ABSTAINING from sex, if you are not already pregnant,,,does work in preventing pregnancy,,, Sorry but I like sex WAY too much to abstain and will not endure a relationship based on that thinking. If she ran out of the pill and we were out of the backup plan, (Condoms at least help cut down ion the chances of pregnancy!) then yes I can put it off for a night or two, even more if there were other factors like she was sick, both of us are too busy with work and too worn out, etc., there are good reasons why not to have sex but to avoid it all together? HELL NO! |

HELL NO! there is a slight difference between whether one is WILLING TO BE abstinent and whether abstinence works to prevent pregnancy if one is not able/wiling to be abstinent, than NON ABSTINENCE would be an unproductive way of trying to prevent pregnancy |

using pregnancy as a weapon in their arsenal? If things aren't working with a man, how does getting/pretending to be pregnant help anything? I'm only talking about purposefully doing this, not accidents. Seems like it might keep a conversation rolling... Weapons imply a certain ugliness... perhaps though, it was wielded in self-defense. |

i bet if you made a poll on the top 5 things adults need, the majority of them will have sex as one of them yeah, many have a broader definition of a 'need', to include things we 'enjoy and want alot' for sake of this discussion a need is something that, without it, we would 'literally' die I havent heard of people dying from not having sex I have heard of them dying from 'thirst', 'hunger' , and sleep deprivation and the elements needs: water, food, rest, shelter |

All I can say is, you are all very horny people!

But why judge others who enjoy it a lot and would rather have it, whether you think they need it or not? |
