yeah, i've read the patriot act. your posts here give me doubts that you have. the kkk has been classified as a terrist organization by the fbi for decades. can you name one arrest of a klansman where maranda did not apply? perhaps if you're to continue along these lines you'd like to cite sections of the patriot act that support your position when you claim that you and i or any citizen has lost any rights or freedoms.

As if they really give a crap about the law jr! They break it all the time! One thing you should remember about them is, they are held to a different standard than we are. Things we couldn't get away with, they can and do on a regular basis.

They work hard to propagate the illusion of freedom and people's rights but all of that goes out the window anytime they decide, and they have the law behind them that allows them to ignore your rights whenever they chose.

oh, i often do "MY OWN RESEARCH" jeannie, which rarely if ever includes the aclu and is why i never click on links in forums. i'd be reading YOUR research, in this case a highly biased left wing organization, and not my own. irregardless, i'm here to discuss real issues with real people who's position i can challenge and who can likewise challenge me. the auther of a link, news article, youtube video producer, whatever, is never here for me to challenge. what is written in a law, such as the patriot act, is unchallengeable. what is written is written. i said that i've read the act and find nothing in it that supports your contention that i've lost freedoms or rights and i challenge you, who are here to be challenged, to point out where in the act i've missed something?

I read both sides, I read crap, propaganda, official documents, testimony, news papers, books and websites on both sides of an issue.

You have to learn to sort through the agendas and the propaganda in order to see the whole of what is going on. But the best thing to do is to FOLLOW THE MONEY. There is where you will find the criminals.

jeannie, how can you know my sources are biased when you've not a clue what my sources are. i too have used the aclu as a reference from time to time and i never said it is a source that i don't like. good that you read both sides but not having a side i do my best to read ALL sides. i have learned to "sort through the agendas and the propaganda' which is why i've developed my own HIGHLY VARIED sources, some biased left, some right, some no bias at all, and have neither the time or inclination to click on a source here that someone with an obvious agenda has posted.

this "us an them" mentality may just be the most distructive, devicive problem with our political system today. we will never enjoy a free, harmonious, equal liberties for all country, much less a have a government that works well, until this kind of thinking has given way to what thomas paine called, "common sense." if you affiliate with any political party that you call "us", your the major part of the problem in this country today.
