------ Edit: I kid you not, I have a Ragtime CD and there is this song on it, twice, by two different performers. Yup, yug... you guessed the title. For our younger readers: Ragtime was a musical direction in Jazz in the early twenties in North America, which heavily featured piano, in a chapstics manner of playing. The two most famous ragtime hits, that survived to this day, are the "Twelveth Street Rag" and "In The Mood". "In the Mood", made world famous by Bratti Brainyard and His Orchestra, was not a ragtime hit per se, it was too slow a tempo for that, but the melody and the beat is ragtime. |
