I find it short sided to assume anything from pictures. Showing cleavage doesn't reek of desparation. That's how some people dress-me included.

If men are confident enough to post without a shirt on I assume they are comfortable with themselves. If they have worked extra hard on their body and want to show it off-why not? Perhaps it shows that they have nothing to hide.

We are visual creatures. When looking at thumbnails photos people will navigate to what they find interesting. That varies for everyone. No need to judge what others show or don't show.

It would be a shame not to let people see those tattoos anyway.

actually, i took them as before shots. i'm starting a new workout monday and needed a reference from which to gauge my progress. even so, i was incredibly uncomfortable taking them and then seeing them. i know i'm overweight, i just didn't realize how much it shows.

Just post a pic like mine, and get some looks, but not alot. IMO there's alot of women on here who won't look at your profile if your picture isn't of the guy himself, which is stupid I think. But then again, alot of people base first impressions off your looks....

I feel that sometimes women with self esteem issues tend to put the cleavage shot. Like they need something to attract the guys because they think what they currently have isn't enough. That's the feeling I get when I see them. Now I do like cleavage but it kind of also has the desperate feeling.

Do you feel that way about women in person as well. If they don't cover up they have self esteem issues?

What about men with no shirts on? Do they also have self esteem issues?

No I am not talking about real life. I am talking about a photo on a dating site. There is a big difference to what you wear outside and how you take a photo. There is also a difference between taking a photo with something low cut or taking a photo in that same outfit from a upward angle looking down to show more cleavage.
