Who's going to knock the Patriots out? There isn't anyone in their division who can over take them - and the only teams who have a coaching staff even close to the Patriots is Denver (Rookie quarterback) San Diego (With Turner as coach and no Phillips as Defensive co-ordinator - Good luck) Pittsburg - Rookie coach, Baltimore - When is the last time Mc Nair beat the Patriots? Etc, etc. And the moment Randy Moss becomes even a slight headache - he's gone. And the media coverage won't effect the team at all. Look what they said when Lawyer Malloy got cut - Oh wait, they went 14 and 2 that year, and won the Super Bowl. And wasn't the team supposed to implode with Corey Dillon - oh wait - they won the Super Bowl, and held Manning to 3 pts in a Playoff Game. Give up the implode talk - it's not happening. The only way the Patriots don't make it is if their decimated by injury. |

I agree that the Patriots can go all the way to the super bowl and win. I also think that they can be eliminated before the super bowl. The Chargers are a high powered team capable of winning it all. Manning and the COlts are a much better team then when the Pats held him to 3 points. The Steelers will bounce back from having a bad year last year the only question is big ben and how he plays. The Jets will suck as usual. The Bills will be better than last year but not as good as the Pats. I think Miami is better than people think they are. People picked the Patriots to win the super bowl last year too and it didnt' happen. ya just never know until the season begins.

A-hem - lasdt year the Patriots weren't even picked to win their division! Sports illustrated had the Dolphins winning the Super Bowl! How did that work out? And the Colts are NOT a better team than they were the year they scored only 3 points against the Patriots. The Patriots defense was decimated with injuries last year. If they had had Rodney Harrison, Eugene Wilson, and even Randall Gay healthy in last years Championship game - the Colts would have never beat them. They played that game with one veteran in the secondary from any superbowl team, and if the Patriots had gotten one more first down at the end of that game - the Colts would have been watvhing the Super Bowl instead of playing in it. The Colts lost 3 starters in their secondary, Stockley left, and their pro bowl left tackle just retired. You still think they're as good as last year?
As for the Chargers... The owner of the Washington Redskins bought Norv Turner the best players money could buy, and he couldn't even get a winning season out of them. What makes you think he'll do any better with the Chargers? |

Superman;
I wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard that! I've heard that phrase uttered EVERY single August 1st since 1986! But by the time the end of September comes around - the phrase in Boston is always "The Yankee's Suck - we'll get'em next year" I'm not sure about this - but I believe that the Red Sox are the only team in History that have traded away or wouldn't sign more Hall of Fame players than they have indoctrinated. It's so bad here - that when a player gets inducted into the HOF from another team - the Red Sox brass celebrates anyway. For instance: Carlton Fiske, Wade Boggs, and soon to be Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez, Johnny Damon, and the list goes on. So - let's see what happens come September. Right now the Yankee's are pounding the cover off the baseball - and Boston's starters are pitching one run gems and loosing! |
