I've been trying to find "my" voice regarding this..but the (quote) of a mastermind of peace summed it up for me... spock said it best in star trek - "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few"... tyrants aren't always confined to their own country, and when the world is threatened, either financially or by nukes, sometimes something needs to be done, whether we all agree or not... and i agree with you about the government trying so hard to show us he's dead, something seems wrong about that... they even filmed obama and hillary watching the event go down, without showing any of the action they were "watching"... does the government show those images, or do MEDIA OUTLETS? The government OWNS the media. There is NOTHING that is broadcast over the air that someone in the government is not aware of. |

The killing of Bin Laden and capture of Al-Qaida documents put a big dent in an operation aimed at murdering innocent people. We can all take pride in that - the lives we have saved.
Had Bin Laden been killed and Al-Qaida plans compromised earlier then we could have potentially avoided the 911 bombings and the attacks in London, Madrid, India and elsewhere - saving many. People are not rejoicing over Bin Laden's death. People are rejoicing for the innocent lives saved. I will toast the innocent people saved by the hobbling of Al-Qaida and their leadership.

I had less of a problem with him being killed, then the talk of mutilating and abusing his body. Granted, it's only a carcass at that point, but I guess I always thought the wronged would be better then the terrorists and people who have done that on the jihadists side of the fence where they were dragging soldiers bodies around and mutilating them. It's almost like people wanted to give the jihadists another reason to get pissed off, instead of just being glad he was gone and buried. I thought the burial at sea was an excellent idea so he couldn't be enshrined.

I am for all the innocent lives that are lost in another country, fighting for wars that we DON'T belong in. I am for the UNITED NATIONS being Unified and saying let's all go or let none go. Do you remember all this coverage when Sadam was taken down?? There was not. There was barely coverage of him being found guilty. The main reason that Sadam was a "government" focus was that daddy Bush screwed up, and didn't get him when he was in power...so when baby Bush came in power...we had to try and correct the past. Today's newsflash....go to Place where BinLadan was staying...they are talking to person on street. "I find that so hard to believe because this is an ARMY base". "How can such a bad man be here?" He was there because they were hiding them there...the U.S. and Afganastan. Do we believe that he is dead because of the "look" on the President & wife's face?? Most of America will. |
