On my fridge for years I have had..

I believe, because I can't live without believing.
I take what I have and make of it all that I can.
That's all. I can't do anything more than that.

Now i put this on my fridge ages ago, just to remind me to believe.

However the last week I have been reading through posts in here and it has made me question what i believe, Yes FUNCHES,
so I thought well what do people believe, Not what does the bible tell you but what do you personally in a simple way believe..
In your heart not head.

For me,
I believe that God is real, that he is there for me when I need him,
that he holds onto me when I am alone and that he gives me peace and joy to carry on when I dont think I can. I believe taht he loves me as a child, for who i am and sees my heart.
but at the same time, I have looked at other beliefs and i find comfort in some of them as well, especially native american and I dont know what you call it there,
But it is very one with nature, I could be wrong of course with both.

But that is just me.

I like your faith. That is very similar to mine.

I believe that Jesus died for my sins and if I were the only sinner in the history of the world, He still would have done that for me.

I know what He asks of me and I know I will always fall short. But that is why He did what He did. Because I am human and not God. He gave this Gift for me so that I can be with Him at the end.

This is what I believe.
That we are designed to be greater.
That we, "after his likness and image" are destined to be the co-creators of worlds out there in a universe that's waiting for us.
We are gods in training. We are the Children who are trying to learn how to be like him. To deny this, is to deny what our creator intended and deny the one who learned and tried to set an example for us to follow.

It was written in testimony, "...and you shall do all that I have done, and more...".

That is the matter of faith and believing.

There was one (according to scripture and testimony of faith),
who proved what we are capable of, yet the generation of his time did not understand. Still throughout history, generation after generation persists in misunderstanding .... keeping out of reach that which was born in us since the begining.
True, we cannot rise above "God" whose true name is unfathomable.
But we are given a gift to receive freely ... not just "salvation" ... but something far more wonderful.

What is a messiah, but one who shows (or lights) the way. His people could not understand this. Many still do not.
God is not unreachable, but rather lives within his creation.
There can be no better teacher given to us.

One of the first revelations I received was this question:
"if you could walk on water too, what else would you do?"
Then later on, I began to understand the scope of that meaning.
How magnificent!

I believe all humans have in them a path to God.
I believe that not all humans will find that path through 'religion' or a book.
I believe that being 'good' is a drop in the bucket compared to being 'worthy'
I believe God gives us what we need, just not always when we want him to or in the way we think he should
I believe death is imminent, and shouldnt be feared or make us sad, but that life should be cherished
I believe that if I follow my own directions, I have more chance of getting lost than if I bother to look at a map and that the same holds true of Gods word if I follow my own interests and desires and ignore his
I believe people are all human and all fallible and that labels do not define our soul, just how we see ourself, how others see us, or wish to see us
I believe alot, but mostly that God is there for those who seek him and the only one who knows us completely enough to judge(our souls)

I like it.

A lot of my feelings as well. Not sure if I would call them beliefs for myself though. But I certainly agree.

I believe that whatever will be will be and that's good enough for me.

If there is no spiritual essence to our reality then this is true for everyone no matter what they believe.

If there is a spiritual essence to our reality then this is true for everyone no matter what they believe.

I also believe that if there is a spiritual essence to reality then clearly we are it.

Tat t'vam asi.

I see no point in creating an external Santa Clause type of God who individually decides who to condemn and who to bestow with gifts. All that does is create yet another unexplained entity. Moreover, if such an entity could exist, then why not two of them, or more? Why not infinitely many? After all, if it's possible for one to exist, then why would it not be possible for infinitely many to exist?

I personally feel that mankind's desire to reduce everything to a single God is just a reflection of our own desire to try to keep things simple. Even the Eastern Mystics prefer to think that all is ONE because ONE is an easier concept to grasp than "Infinitely Many". laugh

There are times I had given thought to our being a "collective".
It could be possible.

I believe in one God. Creator of heaven and earth. I believe there is that of God in everyone and everything. I believe that every man, woman and child can develop the ability to communicate directly with God through worship. I believe that good is infinitely more powerful than evil and that the peacemakers shall be considered the children of God. I believe that by submitting, as humble children to God's will that we can inherit the kingdom of God upon our death. I believe that Jesus provides the only example of a perfect life and we should model out lives after his and know his teachings well. I believe that love is the greatest gift given to humans and that we should love even our enemies. I believe that the bible is the word of God. I believe that our reward is not in this life and that we should attach no meaning to material possessions or money. I believe that God provides for me and that there is enough to sustain each and everyone of us. I believe that we should love the Lord our God with all our heart, and all our soul and with all our mind. I believe in an awesome God!

I believe we all have a life energy that exchanges with the life forms around us. So we can effect the environment by our actions be they positive or negative. All the energy we send out will return to us so we need to be sure to send out good stuff.

That is about it. No gods or make believe creatures involved.

1. I believe that we are all spirits inside of a human, fleshly body. God is a spirit and so are we. Made in God's image: spirit.

2. I believe we were created by God.

3. I don't believe that God created all of us just to end up eternally torturing some of us. While the world sinned, Jesus did for us all.

4. I believe that Jesus' answer to how a person inherits eternal life is quite different than what is being taught today regarding how one inherits eternal life.

5. I believe we all will be reconciled to God after even death has been put to death.

6. I believe that to "believe in Jesus" was originally intended to mean to hear what Jesus said saves and act accordingly. To believe what he said saves versus what the religious leaders of his day (and ours) say.

7. I believe that not only Christians go to heaven.

8. I beieve that the hell referred to in our modern bibles refers to Gehenna. One is different than the other.

9. I believe that a good number of people believe that the word "eternal" always means forever, which it does not.

10. I belive that when you love your neighbor, you are loving God. Loving neighbor is the same as loving God.

11. I believe that the original Christians believe in temporary punishment and not eternal punishment.

12. I believe that it would be odd to believe that we are expected to love our enemies if God doesn't also love "His" enemies.

13. I believe it's a little insufficient to think God is all male when humanity was made in "His" image. Humanity is make of males and females.

14. I believe God is no respecter of persons. All will be judged on how they treat people. No one is God's favorite.

15. I believe that a uncircumcised man who keeps Christ's law will be seen by God as a circumcised man. Christ's law is this: love thy neighbor as thyself.

16. I believe that Sodom and Gomorrah has nothing to do with the issue of whether or not a gay relationship is acceptable to God.

17. I believe that the Good Samaritan story that Jesus tells reveals a lot. One of which, it shows that just because someone is a priest (or the like) does not mean they are following Christ's law. The story also shows that someone who may be looked down upon in society can be one who is accepted by God since he (or she) shows love to their neighbor, which, again, is the same as showing love to God.l

18. I believe that the verse that says, (paraphrasing),"Everyone who loves is of God" only supports Jesus's royal law: love thy neighbor as thyself. Even further, the verse that says,(paraphrasing), "If anyone says he loves God but does not love his brother is a liar" further supports Christ's law.

19. I believe when the bible says Jesus separates the people. Some on his left and some on his right, this separation is dependent upon those who "believed in Jesus". Meaning, they believed what he said saves and the lived accordingly towards their neighbor.

20. When the bible says Jesus says, "I never knew you" to those who cast out demons in his name, I believe Jesus says he never knew them because they were too caught up on works and not loving their neighbor. That's why he sends them away. They did not follow his law.

21. I believe that loving thy neighbor as thyself is Jesus' law. All else that has nothing to do with how one treats his or her neighbor is works.

22. I believe going to church is a work. It's nice to do, but it's not a requirement.

23. I believe that the books I suggested will open your eyes to all that I have said. With bible verses to back it all up.

24. I believe I need to go to bed now:)
