Someone today asked me.
If I knew what it was like to be.
Broken hearted and the way it felt.
To have those cards dealt.
Watching them stand there before you.
And listen to words they threw.
Like daggers at your heart.
Little by little till it tore it apart.
And take you to your knees.
As they hear your pleas.
That falls upon deaf ears.
Standing there as the tears.
Swell up and gather in your eyes.
And they don’t even hear your cries.
Of the love you have for them.
You feel as if you have just been condemned.
Your chest tightens as you take a breath.
Thinking this is what they call the dance of death.
To have your heart stomped on this way.
To watch them as they turn away.
And just walk away from your love.
The very one you thought the world of.
How is it they can just shut that door.
And totally ignore.
Everything you once had.
And leave your heart so sad.
As you look into there face.
They seem to be in another place.
Makes you wonder can they just switch.
Love off whenever they get the itch.
When they think it is time to move on.
They start by becoming withdrawn.
Then it just happens one day.
They look at you and say there love has gone away.
You hate to admit.
Or even to face it.
How you fought.
Bringing this thought.
You were sure at last.
You had left it in the past.
Remembering it was real.
You know exactly how they feel.
You look at them and say.
Yes I do just like it was yesterday.

Awwww thank you all very much funny how someone says something and it makes the memoriers rush back and make it seem as if it was only yesterday.

You have just posted what happened to me. It is a hard thing to have to go through. The disbelife that someone you love so deeply could tear your world apart.

Good Morn.Txs.Sadly this describes is what so many people have suffered though in their relationship.Wishing it were not so but then there's reality.A term I've come 2 use over the years which I've heard countless times for it's an adequate description.There are 2 types of people in the world;givers & takers so if U find yourself with a taker then that is exactly what shall occur.This isn't just material possessions either for they will damage one's heart very badly & virtually leave their soul obliviated.So sad really.Excellent read gurlfriend.Godspeed!Cybear;=)

2Btrue2One I feel for you we all at times go through heartache of finding out things have went wrong in a relationship. At times no matter how we try we will never understand why.

frank thank you your so right sometimes pain is good in order for each of us to learn to move on and get out of a place we were not truly happy with in the first place.

Cybear morning yourself as well even tho this is something we all suffer in life sometimes we feel as if we have been dealt more than our share of heartachs along the line as well. And before you know it we are yet jumping in head first again into another fire that will soon try to consume us.

But no matter what the way I try to see those things anymore is if it don't work out it was not meant to be for they were not the one you were meant to spend your life with learn from it and put it away so you can move on in life and love don't carry that hurt into the next relationship. For if you do then you have just put the match to smolder under the logs. Which surely if the wind blows just right it will come to life and soon the logs will accept the flame and help it grow.

Tsx, it is my deep preching to get out of ur boxes and cages and learn to live freely, express urself frankly and focus on your strength to expand ur horizan. Don't dance around ur weekness.

Very true frank one should never doubt the person they are within. If you reach for the stars it will be a star you will have. So reach for the things you so desire do not take less than you want out of life or an partner to love. If you want one thing and settle for another you will always be wondering what if?

Don't be the one to be day dreaming what things could be like. Instead be the one that your dreams have come true living in reality!
