I thought I had a best friend.

I respect my parents.. I can talk to them about almost anything so I consider them my friends but my best friends are those friends that accept me for all that I am, will be or do and don't judge me along the way... I have a few of those...

My family, including my daughters, parents, and siblings....Of course Jon (TheCaptain) and a few others....some know me better than others, but mean a lot to me...
And Totage.......if I wasn't your friend, I wouldn't have made a thread for you that time...

i have a hand full of good friends, one or two great friends, but a best friend I have yet to find. Someone who is there when I need them and can actually take ten minutes to stop talking about themselves and listen to me=zero. So I guess my best friends are my 3 kids, they love me unconditionally, they are brutally honest, lol, and they laugh at all my jokes. They're perfect for me.

Without question,,my kids,,,then,,many from many years ago,,but recent,,who really know me,,only one,,and she's not talking to me.

Best friend means the friend thats always helpful n you can trust him/her.. But as you can see whats happenin in the world., situations can change friends to enemies., peeps start takin advantage, so i prefer not to trust anyone but my dog, can one be betrayed by a dog.? He's my best friend
But i have awesome friends who are helpful n trustful to a certain limit., that doesnt mean i dont like my pals. |

My best friend is a former computer geek turned photo journalist. He writes for two local papers. He is also the son of a baptist minister. He's been my close friend for over 30 years. He challenges me, he inspires me, he puts me in my place when I'm wrong and has always been there when I needed him. He's also 6'6" and roughly 500lbs with very long black hair. We call him Badger.

I treat all my friends the same, really. To be fair. Mum taught me to never have a best friend, just to have lots of friends. She thinks having a best friend is favouritism, so she told me to treat em equally. Lol

It's like this, if i tell one friend one of my secrets, then i normally end up telling all of those friends. I don't like the thought of favouring one friend over another.
