This looks like a cool sandbox. Can I play too?
I brought some toys (experiences) to share (chat about). I traveled a fair amount. Spent almost 22 years in the USMC. Have three children. Enjoy music of almost all genres. Enjoy the beach (a lot). Enjoy museums of all types. Re-learning to play guitar. I am VERY passionate about my research. Because of this I have chosen to live very modestly. I have started writing a general interest non-fiction book. I cleanup pretty good. Not too many people stare when I go out in public (though I think a few maybe laughing). <-- joke okay? I have a serious sarcastic streak that I have learned to reign in a bit. Enough room for me? :-) See you all soon. |

Hi.
I ate all my crayons and now I can't color. Welcome to the sandbox. I hitch hiked a lot when I was younger. That is a long time in the service. My three kids are grown up. Way to be on the music. The beach has a big sandbox; Ours is smaller. Haven't been to a museum in a long time. I tried to learn the guitar; My grandpa and my dad played it. I first gave my dad's guitar to my son. My daughter took it over. She restringed it and did pretty good with it. Dad once used that guitar as a weapon. He was in Korea and Viet Nam. He met my step dad in Playcoo, Viet Nam. Step dad worked in the motor pool and dad was in recon and recovery. Dad would recover tanks and jeeps or blow them up. He would bring some in and step dad would fix them up. Dad brought the guitar back with him. It had a broken neck where he broke it over someone's head. He took some wood putty to fill in the bullet holes in the guitar. That Gibson flat top was scratched up a bit but he revarnished it. Dad's fingers were sure calloused from playing it. Research can be interesting. I did some in tracing my roots. Some non-fiction is interesting to read. When I cut my hair I have had some stares. I can relate on reigning in the sarcasm. I have had to do some of that at the nursing home. But some of the residents don't understand me anyways. |
