I've looked at thousands of profiles. Literally. For one thing, I have to get material for the "ONE GLORIOUS PROFILE" thread from somewhere. I mean, sure, I could make stuff up, but it's more fun when it's the "real thing." For another thing, looking at profiles is a really good way to understand just how vapid, illiterate, and boring people can be, without even trying. Seriously. About 90% of profiles I've read would have been better if the person had just tossed a bunch of Scrabble tiles up in the air and then copied whatever convoluted mass of letters they made, and used THAT as their profile. I don't really concern myself with people's reactions to my looking at their profiles. A profile is there, ostensibly anyway, for public viewing, right? OK, so some people do get all bent out of shape when a "dirty old man," or whatever, looks at their profile. Whose problem is that? Hey, do you hear me complaining about the fact that everyone who looks at my profile is 48 and has 3 kids ("AND THEY ARE MY WORLD!") -- ?? Well, yes. Yes you do. My ethics are rather fluid, I guess. Perhaps you should shift perspectives bro.... Just look at ALL women like sexual MEAT.....Then base the success curve off of their ability to form a sentence. You might find women to be pretty smart... I know, it threw me..... |

Since I started this thread, I've been doing a lot of perving. I always include a little note, And I've always gotten a nice, sweet message in return. There was a little setback when Our little Princess Yuck posted her thread, but that didn't last long. I keep forgetting that, when you get to a certain age, you can get away with some outrageous flirting because you are so "harmless". Women who are veterans here fully understand perving. It's the newbies who are stuck back in Junior College. .

I keep forgetting that, when you get to a certain age, you can get away with some outrageous flirting because you are so "harmless". Women who are veterans here fully understand perving. I guess if they don't want to be perved, maybe they shold drop their profile. Perving is a GREAT way to see what interests people have and can strike up some good friendships if not more. So....pervers unite!!

I don't think it makes a lot of sense to spend time trying to evaluate what someone else is going to think about the fact that I did or didn't look at their profile. They can interpret it any way they want. |

People look at mine all the time, and I never hear from most of them. I just chalk it up to the fact that my profile is pretty precise re: what I want and what I don't want.
