The catholic church has plenty of money... they also have a wealth of historical documentation and artifacts that can only be imagined...i can only dream of how incredibly wondrous perusing the vaults of the vatican would be, but you need an invite/ permission from the pope

seeing lower clergy with exceeding amounts of wealth surpasses even the concept of teaching salaries... albeit vows of poverty are not church wide, they are a believed standard

even if you include due notes about how expensive private schools can be, of course we all know its not her husband's money..lol or is it???

Well for all they have to give up, they deserve a nice car, damn. JK, maybe she got that as a gift before she converted.

What? Nuns can't make a decent living? Because they are of a religious organization, they must live in poverty, or something?

You do realize people can have multiple occupations, and just because they are a member or leader of a religious organziation doens't necessarily mean that's where all their money comes from, don't you?

Maybe she got it from cars for causes....or or or, maybe she is a twilight dancer......you never know-when times get tough....

Maybe she was visiting family and using one of their cars. Nuns do take a vow of poverty but then priests take a vow of celibacy and we all know that's not happenin'. Just in case I am offending any Catholics out there---it's OK I am one so I get to pick on them. I did my time in Catholic school from kindergarten thru college!

maybe it was owned by a visitor or a rich sponsor they were only allowed to used that car. We never know.

We just had a story in the news here where a nun was robbed in the convent while she was in her habit. The guy came in asking for water and ended up stealing her purse. Honest to God, when the robber left, she took after him looking for him...she is 78 years old. True story.

The churches around here are crazy, they are pulling in so much money they are just trying to find new ways to spend it seems like... We have churches that are right off the highway with billboard size LED screens to get their messages across to all who pass by.

There is a church here that when they built their church house the permit did not allow for the height of the steeple, so instead of just lowering the steeple they built an identical church right next to the original church and put the higher steeple on the new one with the proper permits...lol.

Oh yeah, the mega-churches. Although usually those are Christian, not Catholic. The Catholic ones are usually really old.
