Lonely is a personal choice. I can be lonely in a crowd. I can be at Mardi Gras with the right soul. People chose to be lonely just as they chose to be social. It is a personal choice.

I have one more.... i feel the most lonely when i'm reminded about families seeing their soldiers off to war and then when they get them come home its a huge mix of emotions...happiness and sorrow, because i know they don't always come home...

When I isolate myself from others. The saying, "No man is an island" can be true. I believe we can choose to be alone just as we can choose to be social with others. We can hide in our caves or we can go out into the sunlight. Some quality time with one's self can be a good thing if we don't take it to extremes. I have heard that too much of a good thing can be bad for you. When ever I visit family they usually ask me why I have been a stranger to them. Go figure.

I get the same kind of "Hey, stranger", but I find that I put out the ol' Hey I'm available for a visit and I'm left all exposed. Just hangin'. That makes me feel lonely.

well this evening, i went to claim jumper by myself...and it was very slow there too. That made it feel even more lonely...
