not knowing me at all, with no children of your own, and being 20 years my senior....I still feel as if this was somehow inappropriate...

If smoking isn't for them then that is their right. But IMO they went too far. And why talk only about moms??? Does he think dad's don't impact their children???? What about their peers, TV, etc???

Is he perfect himself? I don't know who it is but I'm willing to bet money on the answer being no.

I'd say that was indeed not a courteous message from a stranger but there's truth to what was said. Maybe the person who sent the message was a very outspoken person so we just have to take it from there because of the truth it has in it.

I am a smoking mother of 2 children, no stranger has said that to me as of yet but if in case someone would, I cannot blame him/her since he/she doesn't know me at all thus more capable of having false impression of me.

Just my take on that matter.
