Facebook has it's pro's and con's like everything else. It can suck up a lot of time, and make sure you check your security and privacy settings often. Whenever they add a new feature, that may share info with the public, they tend to default to sharing that info. If you only want friends to see info you have to stay on top of upgrades and be on top of privacy settings.

Facebook is a good site, just be careful and not get addicted to the games like Farmville...lol

I love Facebook. It allows me to keep up with family that is scattered across the country. I even get to see pictures almost instantly from a daughter who lived in Seattle but now lives in Denver. They had a Frozen Dead Guy Festival recently and I am still waiting for her to post pictures (ha). It allows me to feel closer to friends and family through posts and pics they make there that I wouldn't necessarily get to see or know about otherwise given the distance in miles.

^^this...it keeps showing me friend recommendations of people I do know and will not be friends with!!! Other than that annoying little feature & all the games (which I block), I love keeping up with my friends and family!

Ok, people that update 15-20 times a day are annoying too, but I can hide their posts at least. GRB...don't get me on my soapbox about farmville-lol! I haz a real farm to tend to.

On the bright side...I can see what the people I care for have going on & let them know what I have going on, find those long lost friends I wonder what happened to, and get a good laugh or smile!

It got old for me so I deleted it.

I don't do farmville and crap and I'm not a friend collector. But FB lets me keep in contact with my family and I've recently started re-connecting with my cousins that I haven't seen in over 20 years. That's pretty cool.

I use FB 2 years ago n I know whit whom a girls has chat on u ! lol

i like it for having been connected with all my old school neighborhood buddies. Also my family which lives out of states as well. It keeps us close..

I love facebook. Lots of old friends and relatives. Its a great way to keep in contact. PLUS I have a few minglers now as friends on there too.

Wait until you have a technical issue and have to go through a 12 page questionaire like are you sure your monitor is on? (not actually there but it seemed like it) just to get to a no one will ever let you know if we are even going to try to fix your problem let alone let you know if we actually did.

Then there's Zynga. A gaming company that facebook seems to adore. My problem with them is they constantly and brazenly steal from customers. One case where an 8 year old boy snuck his mothers credit card out of her purse and charged $1,300 in Farmville gifts. They told her she should have better controll over her kid. That may be true but that kind of response from a company is extremely uncalled for.

and here is another good thing.. if you meet people on here.. that are no longer on here because they found someone. and for some reason choose to not be on here anymore because a lot of people throw fits about people on here should not be if they are no longer single or perhaps they just dont want to make their partner uncomfortable.. you will always have them there... i know i have a few of those.. and am thankful!!
