yes, actually, I have,,, with no fatalities and no physical damage to me or anyone I loved,, just property

and scared men who RAN when they realized they were caught


this man did what he could to take care of himself too, without harming anyone, so whats the problem,,?

Uh....maybe that he chose to break into somebody elses home?

he was taking a fning shower for christ sake.. take back his decision..

besides that

and? still does nothing to refute that what he did AFTER that decision, may have kept anyone from being hurt or killed unnecessarily?

Uh...isn't that what started all this?

Just curious....

What if this guy was robbing the house and heard the owner come home (pull into driveway--car door closing etc...) and he ran into the bathroom and turned on the shower as a cover for his breaking in? Then he called police to report his "crime....of taking a shower when the homeowner wasn't there" and saying he was now afraid for his life.... That would give him time to get clothes off and get wet trying to make an "alibi" of sorts....


And Dict....I agree, having your house broken into is SCARY.....I came home one night in time to see the guy running out of my house, he was never caught.

then he would have been a robber , which is still not punished with the death penalty last I heard

and he would have been in RETREAT, which kind of would negate any plausible explanation of someone feeling THREATENED


what happened is what should have happened, he commited a crime for which he will receive a JUST penalty for, which he obviously preferred to a potential death penalty

Chose to take care of himself? Yea...no doubt. By helping himself to yr stuff.......and committing a felony.

would it have been a better ending had he came out of the bathroom and been shot ? seriously?

He got caught.. I am sure if the homeowner hadn't walked in he wouldn't have called the cops to turn himself in because he felt bad about his poor DECISION..

I dont advocate shooting someone for no reason, but if I catch some random dude in my shower he is getting a serious beating..

And what if he did have a gun or other weapon?? Would you be willing to take a chance that a stranger in your house is just cleaning himself for a potential date or whatever and not that he just MIGHT be VIOLENT?

What about the hundreds of people every year that are killed when they interupt a home robbery?

Should we assume that the person breaking into my home will be civil and call the police on themselves???

Being naïve about a situation like this will more than likely get a home owner killed.

Way to make your bad situation worse! I can't imagine breaking into someone's home to steal a handful of shampoo and a towel.

Hey the guy needed to take a shower.

Home owners should have loaded guns. People have no right to be breaking in and using their shower.

FROM THAT POINT , there were STILL DECISIONS to be made

He could have taken the chance that the man would feel THREATENED(with him wet and naked ) and cause him bodily harm or death

OR

he could remain in the bathroom with the door locked and got on the phone with the police, an action that both TURNS HIMSELF IN, and keeps the situation from escalating



a misdemeanor didnt need to become a death, and this mans thinking, AFTER committing the misdemeanor, kept it from becoming one

upon finding a stranger in his home the homeowner CONFRONTED him, which I hope hundreds of OTHER people might have the sense not to do, especially if the man is in the SHOWER and NUDE at the time, it makes more sense and its a safer route for the HOMEOWNER to return to wherever they were OUTSIDE the home and call the police


I dont quite find a comparison between a man confronting someone to ask them what they are doing in their home

and a man who is actually IN FEAR of their life.

it was absolutely stupid to go in someone elses home to shower, I will be eager to hear the follow up of what happened,,,,prior to that decision
