Category 4 Cyclone Yasi barreling down into Australia, Qld, Cairns -hits tomorrow. Specifically where i live. Evacuations been ordered. Not looking like fun for the Qld coast yet again. Its the 2nd cyclone in less than a week. Have to wonder how much more Qlder's have to face this year with the inland tsunami still being cleaned up and flood watches in place there yet again.

Those in cairns and in areas that are gonna be affected, stay safe and batton down please.

That was the worst ever Cyclone to hit Australian shores!!!...the biggest mother of them all..Hurricane Katrina and Yasi were freakin twins...

My heart goes out to North QLD'ers, what a wild f*king night that was!!!


hiya Scratcy...glad you guys in Cairns were on the north side of the cyclone, and not much damage to the city...power outage and water shortages are a b*tch...but way better off than Tully, Cardwell, and Mission beach...even poor old Townsville copped a reaming...the second storm surge was a doozy...and am not too sure how the Atherton fared...am still trying to contact mates up there..

I DID offer to lick her butt......she didn't take me up on the offer.....

I wish nothing but the best to the Aussie gals and cats but, if you won't let me help....then I gotta demand my $7 before you wash away.....

Yeah Jess we were so lucky in the last hours before it hit that it shifted an hour south of cairns, but an hour dont seem like much but against that beast it certainly made one hell of a difference. From what i have heard, Silkwood, tully, cardwell, mission beach, Port hinchinbrook, innisfail, ingham, Yarrabah, giru and other small towns recieved extensive damage. My sis in mackay was evacuated with storm surges and 70knot winds. By far the worst i have ever been in but thankfully we survived. 1 death so far and 3 missing tragically. Im still trying to get a hold of family and friends in the impact zone.

Alot of ppl are thanking there blessings.

I have just got power and net restored after being out for 3 days and now im alert for flash flooding :S

Not to mention today being my 30th bday so apparently a candle lit bbq at my mums is being organised.....wont have to look far for the candles on the cake lol

I escaped cyclone yasi totage, i was also hit by cyclone tasha on christmas morning too but i think that was a cat 1 or 2 which is a glorified wind storm lol
