Yeah Jess we were so lucky in the last hours before it hit that it shifted an hour south of cairns, but an hour dont seem like much but against that beast it certainly made one hell of a difference. From what i have heard, Silkwood, tully, cardwell, mission beach, Port hinchinbrook, innisfail, ingham, Yarrabah, giru and other small towns recieved extensive damage. My sis in mackay was evacuated with storm surges and 70knot winds. By far the worst i have ever been in but thankfully we survived. 1 death so far and 3 missing tragically. Im still trying to get a hold of family and friends in the impact zone.

Alot of ppl are thanking there blessings.

I have just got power and net restored after being out for 3 days and now im alert for flash flooding :S

Not to mention today being my 30th bday so apparently a candle lit bbq at my mums is being organised.....wont have to look far for the candles on the cake lol
