Topic: Would you marry so they could get a Green Card

A friend of mine did. The gal paid him 3 grand and paid his car payments for a year. They didn't live together and when she was legal they divorced. If someone offered you money to get married so they could get a Green Card, would you?

Nope. I want to marry a person for the fact that I'm in love with them...not for them to get a Green Card just to be a legal citizen of the US. And then it depends on the situation too. Shrugs

If someone offered you money to get married so they could get a Green Card, would you? thats interesting, didnt realize it was so simple, doesnt the citizen spouse have to show ability to financially support the immigrant spouse(its what kept immigration from allowing my husband to be with us)
