I do all of the above, but sewing is my passion. It's also what I do for a living. I even have a sewing room. I love creating things.

I have been warned that if I plastic canvas another coaster or Kleenex box, my family members will be killed off one by one until I stop.....

Is it time to do a give-away?

After they accumulate, I box up the scarfs and berets and donate them to the homeless shelters.

berets and scarves are useful. nobody needs five billion kleenex box covers and coasters.

lol...I kinda thought that way when I realized my projects were mounting up.

Uh...It may be time for you to get a new project, Teadipper!

Next Christmas, or gift-giving holiday,
perhaps you may let your children wrap them up and give them to someone for a present.

Get some foam hearts & flowers, or alphabets to glue their names or a memorable message on them. Give them to their teachers or principal. Just a few suggestions.

It felt great when I got my projects out of the house. It was the only way I would allow myself to start new ones. lol

I knit, spin, hand dye & a little bit of crochet. My passion is spinning though. It's very relaxing.

I love sewing, too! I've been doing it since I was a girl. My Baba coached me through my teens, then I took Some Costume Design classes in university and I'm hooked. I teach Theatre, so the two go together beautifully

Do you make your own patterns? I do a lot of mix 'n match to get the period pieces I'm looking for.

I also enjoy cross-stitch. I haven't been doing it for many years, but I'll never forget how. Again, Baba taught me how to make the back as clean as the front, and I really appreciated her skill. happy

I like Liquid Stitch. I use it for repairing my scrub tops. You just hold the torn material together for thirty minutes and it works great.

My favorite is beading--the smaller the beads, the better. Also love counted cross-stitch, knitting and latch-hooking. I can sew, which is a good thing since almost all my pants need to be hemmed, but don't really enjoy it. I used to do OK at oil painting, but haven't done that for YEARS. I'd love to take some classes. Ahh to have more time to actually DO these hobbies...
