Actually if you check with the places Viv they have a system you can plug into a electrical plug that will in fact gain you more access. Also check to make sure your sim card is up to date.

I had issues with mine and getting connection due to another tower near by interfering and they up graded my Sim Card have not had and issue since then. And I do have AT&T.....

That's interesting...I've talked to customer service and they told me I'd never have better coverage here, that I was in a low signal area..I even bought a new phone a couple of weeks ago. I had an air card that I was paying out the roof for and it wouldn't work here either..so I let it go and got that new windows phone, it's even worse than my old one as far as picking up signals..Even have trouble with it in town. I have a month to take it back, so if this ice ever thaws...I'm going back over there, it's 30 miles to the AT&T store...of course it works fine in their storegrumble .

Hummm yeah we all need a good blow dryer hehe hey it is better then letting them thaw out on their own and busting...

And well hell I became a expert on boiling water lmao hey at least it does put the moister back in the air in the house.

Viv think those adapters I'm talking about can be bought like at Radio Shack will have to look it up seen them advertising them on tv not long ago not positive where you get them but thought they had them where I got my phone as well....

They are called Cell Phone Boosters or repeaters most dealers carry them not sure if it would in fact help you or not but says they will in crease your signal...

Actually, (maybe I shouldn't say this) if your pipes are NOT plastic and you are REALLY CAREFUL and you are not a 'tard, you should get a handheld plumber's propane torch. It will thaw metal pipes faster, by far, than an electric paint stripper. It's what the plumber would use and is also really handy for setting fire to homes with dry wood!

With any method, start at an outside faucet, open the faucet firs to let the water out so there is less chance of bursting a pipe.

thanks bro, i have water coming out of one of the outside faucets, the other is dead, inside i have cold water in all the faucets, just no hot water anywhere. i figure the pipe from the water heater is frozen, but i'm not really motivated enough to go under the house to check lol

I hear ya! Getting an air pocket in the pipes near a faucet will give the ice in the pipe someplace to expand and save some work. If you think they are as frozen as they will get, you might as well wait til the current freeze is over to worry about it.

metalwing you are a genius, i was going to get a blow dryer, but the hardware store is closer than the walgreens so i stopped in for a heat gun. they are sold out, but they did have a small tank and torch kit for 23 clams. got under the house and those pipes were colder than a mother in laws stare. stayed under there long enough to get hot water going in the sinks, and the tub is dripping slowly. i've leave it at that and let the tub drip, hopefully the hot water will work it's way through the ice. next time i see you remind me to kiss you on the mouth

Shshshsh and ya could have done that all with a hair dryer that cost less

Make sure that you have both hot water & cold water dripping in order to keep either from freezing again.......

i guess i'm going to have to take a little trip under the house again if i want to get the tub working. the drip just isn't enough to thaw out the line and it is going to get colder
