That is why I wanted to make them. Someone was talking about chicken and dumplings yesterday. Just had to prepare it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah I need to make me some tomorrow already told my daughter I would fix Salmon Patties with fried potato's & pork-n-beans for lunch think I will fix the chicken and dumplings on Thursday ![]() I saw that your pipes are froze, hope that works out for you dear lady. It is -13 this morning with a -39 wind chill. Good news is that the little groundhog did not see his shadow. So a early spring is on the way. Chicken and dumplings were good indeed it really hit he spot. Good morning take care . |

Yeppiers my pipes are froze I do hope that the sun will come out and take care of it this afternoon not good....At least I do have lots of bottle water so can still make my coffee ect...
My house in pier n beam so I did go and run a long extension cord and put a little heater under the house not sure that it will do anything but it is bound to help some.... ![]() It seems if it is not one thing lately it is something else ![]() |

Just stay around the house you do not want to leave. If you have a broken pipe it will be best if you are there to shut off your water. If you can find the shut off now that will save you some headache in case you have a busted pipe.
The pipe joints are the area where the most breaks take place. Well good morning dear lady. Wish you luck indeed. |

oh Kristie, bad luck!!! Hope they thaw out soon!
I got up to no electricity this morning....scared the hell out of me..all I have is the wood burner and elect heaters....my house was at 38 degrees....it finally came back on, thank goodness! |

I'm all electric too! It only got down to 20 here, I'm told. I guess if it got too cold I could go get into my travel trailer with propane heat.

Well I did go out with the hair dryer and I do have water up to the house for I got the outside faucet running after a few minutes. But still do not have water in the house I got cold and had to come back in lmao

But still do not have water in the house I got cold and had to come back in lmao ![]() If you are going to thaw faucets with a hair drier, open the faucet so you can let the melted water out, then close the valve if the whole pipe is still frozen. That way the trapped air in the pipe near the faucet will allow the ice to expand and (hopefully) keep your pipes from bursting. Sometimes all the pipes under a pier and beam house will freeze. |

A few yrs ago...a lot of yrs ago, I bought a house at Van Horn...had three stories, built into the side of a hill. We had on heck of a winter storm..my water froze, for 10 days. I came home from work one night..heard water running...down the stairs and into my den.. I literally had to sweep the water out the door...took hrs! Luckily the house was stone and cement..no carpet..ruined some furniture and cabinets....talk about a mess!!
