That is why I wanted to make them. Someone was talking about chicken and dumplings yesterday. Just had to prepare it. bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile

Yeah I need to make me some tomorrow already told my daughter I would fix Salmon Patties with fried potato's & pork-n-beans for lunch think I will fix the chicken and dumplings on Thursday drool

I saw that your pipes are froze, hope that works out for you dear lady.
It is -13 this morning with a -39 wind chill. Good news is that the little groundhog did not see his shadow. So a early spring is on the way.
Chicken and dumplings were good indeed it really hit he spot.

Good morning take care .

Just stay around the house you do not want to leave. If you have a broken pipe it will be best if you are there to shut off your water. If you can find the shut off now that will save you some headache in case you have a busted pipe.

The pipe joints are the area where the most breaks take place.

Well good morning dear lady. Wish you luck indeed.

I'm all electric too! It only got down to 20 here, I'm told. I guess if it got too cold I could go get into my travel trailer with propane heat.

If you are going to thaw faucets with a hair drier, open the faucet so you can let the melted water out, then close the valve if the whole pipe is still frozen. That way the trapped air in the pipe near the faucet will allow the ice to expand and (hopefully) keep your pipes from bursting. Sometimes all the pipes under a pier and beam house will freeze.

A few yrs ago...a lot of yrs ago, I bought a house at Van Horn...had three stories, built into the side of a hill. We had on heck of a winter storm..my water froze, for 10 days. I came home from work one night..heard water running...down the stairs and into my den.. I literally had to sweep the water out the door...took hrs! Luckily the house was stone and cement..no carpet..ruined some furniture and cabinets....talk about a mess!!frustrated frustrated
