Topic: Judging others | |

Sat 01/22/11 02:52 PMThere are alot of times in life when we judge people without ever meeting them. When we walk by a homeless person, see a overweight man, see a woman with tatoos. But that is wrong. God tells us that we are not to judge people or we will be judged in the same manner that we judged them Mt 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Joh 7:24 Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment 2Ch 19:6 He told them, "Consider carefully what you do, because you are not judging for man but for the LORD, who is with you whenever you give a verdict. We are insted to love them as God loves us. Which is very difficult at time especially sinc human kind has been condidioned to be protective of ourselve, afraid to let anyone close so we wont get hurt. 1Jo 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Rember that when we began to jump to judgement we have to rember that Christ love us despite how we look or live so we need to be Christ like and do the same |

it also says by their fruits ye shall know them
I dont think the bible prohibits judging, because as humans we cant help but form opinions and judgements, I think it prohibits the HYPOCRISY of holding others to standards which we dont hold ourself to |

We are told to love ALL. Jesus didn't tell us to love those we judge to be worthy. That's where the foul comes in. Take a murderer for instance. Even if we know they are a mass murderer, rapist, or anything of such. We are not to "judge" them as lesser people then us. We are to treat them with love and take care of them just as we would show our preacher love, our family love, or anyone else for that matter. We are not be prejudice in a sense. |

Good post. Same manner are we judged by the manner we judge them in your post. Good call. In rehab we learned that we are either part of the problem or part of the solution. That is why communication is so important. The old saying of the pot calling the kettle black holds true. That is why Jesus had to be so careful about how he answered people when they asked him questions. He was not answering the questions only to them but if he had known it would have been in a book called the New Testament then he would have known that question would come up again when another person would read about him later. I think that Jesus tried to answer the real question each individual would ask. Take for instance when he was talking to the woman at the well. He said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more." The verse, "He that knoweth to good but doeth it not to him it is a sin." Basically, we condemn ourselves, in other words. "Where little is known little is required but where much is known then much is required." Think about what they ask you when you are at court. "Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God?" Then the fifth amendment is given to counteract that if you so desire.
