The Big Chill. Kidnapped (parental) and hidden at the beach for 3 months. Sheer heaven. ptooie I think I love you!! The Big Chill is my alltime favorite too! And of course, best vacation - the annual beach trip I loved the poetic license in the The Big Chill. For instance, the wife (Glenn Close) has an affair. Husband knows of it. How do you get back from that? No way, right? But the errant wife sets up her girlfriend to sleep with her husband (Kevin Kline) for the sole purpose of helping the friend have a baby, to raise on her own. The husband gets to d!ck the friend. Poetic payback. Ptooie!! |

OMG -- I am watching that tonight!
There used to be a gang of us and we watched that when it first came out and just howled and cried and laughed and ... there was basically one of the gang that was pretty much nailed in the movie gang....and oh Jeff Goldblum.... One of our buddies said he wanted that played at his funeral - You don't always get what you want...and sure enough ... a few years later we were able to grant him that wish. Such a great movie and such great memories of that old gang watching it together over and over http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86GA4JnW7x4 |

Lots of favorite movies... BEST VACATION was a trip to Disney World..I won a contest and the trip was for 4 people for 5 days, 4 nights, all expenses paid...included airfare, transportation to and from airport, hotel next to Epcot, all meals( just had to sign my name), all tips included and tickets to everything in the park, day and night!!! They even arranged for my youngest daughter to fly back to Norfolk instead of Ohio because she was leaving on her first deployment... They treated us great!!!

Fav movie, maybe Princess Bride but there are a lot I really love. Home movies from when we were kids come to mind...
Fav vacation, I have to have two. One when I was a teen and spent a week on a three masted schooner, you could work the ship or not...I worked (and played) and had a wonderful affair with the Boson. Best would have to be the mini vacation my late hubby and I took, 3-4 days at his cousins camp in the middle of nowhere in the MTS. in PA. I don't know how he mustered the strength but we had a wonderful time alone together. A week after we got home we were handed his death sentence in the form of cancer. I am so very grateful that we got to make that trip to his dearly beloved mountains. We saw deer, elk, bears, turkeys and a Bob Cat! Turns out that the love we made there was to be our last. So forget the schooner, I have only one fav vacation. |

Cortina and Venice Italy, those Italian men are eye candy...:) Bill Chill is my all time fav...just like Sofie described...doesn't get any better than that... Then you are aware they really do pinch your *** at will in Italy :-) More poetry in The Big Chill: They put together a man who had nothing to offer (William Hurt) with a girl who had zero expectations in life (Meg Tilly.) Beautiful :-) |
