WE have 80degrees, & a 40mph breeze that is gusting to 50 MPH. This is the weather that is conducive to sudden outbursts, & unseemly conduct. Because in the area I live in, the power wires are on poles, they get affected when the air gets mobile. My last place had underground wiring.....a much better propositionbigsmile

we are 40 degrees, much colder than yesterday. I used to live in a place where things were affected that way. No computer then...
I have a friend from NZ. He is a harmonica player. I do not know where is family lives. He lives near Amarillo with his wife and daughter.

It is! I writ itlaugh laugh I;m sorry I don't know when air turns to gales in Texas. I am loathe to refer to a 40mph breeze, as a gale. Mainly for fear of being laughed at.blushing I have more than a passing interest in yachting (on TV) and sailors refer to wind as air, a habit I picked-up & use now without thinking.

In my house, when the north winds blow, it whistles through the door crack. I tell my lady that it's the only whistle I get..so...I take it. Hhahaha

I understand your North wind is pretty much the opposite here. I'm guessing the North wind is from the Arctic, is cold and unloveable. For me, that is the South wind, (the Southerlies) and not something to be wished for. We will get them inlate March/ early April. They are cold, coming as they do, directly from Antarctica.

Amazingly enough, I have just received a PM from a 21 year old in Tanzania. While she is rather nice looking, what in Gods name would I do with a 21 year old? She must know how old I am, so I'm left with the conclusion that she needs a ticket out of Dar es Salam. I'm not into that sort of stupiditylaugh laugh laugh

It seems unlikely to me, that the only whistles you get are from the North wind. In passing, having just raced over for a quick look, I note you aren't in Texas. I shall smack my hand, & sit in the norty corner!

Kind, I am in OK, very close to TX, actually about 70 miles from the border ...the panhandle. I live in a very small town, Corn...500 people. It was settled by Russian and German Mennonites.

It is a numbers game. If they do it enough, someone lonely will eventually succumb.

Not so much kind, as honest. Is it fair to assume you are of German/Russian descent? I will guess that Mennonites are a small religious group. Now you mention it, I think I can recall hearing them mentioned, by whom & in what context I am unsure. Is the lady you mentioned your landlady, or are you a lady of "exotic" personal habits? I dislike writing that, but the way you put it, the question was begging to be asked.

2 years ago I took in my deceased husband's mother. I call her My Lady in some references because calling her, Kitty takes me down another rabbit trail
of conversation. I have lived here since 2000, a brief absence after my husband died to go back to the Northwest..Seattle area..where my siblings and Father live.

Some of my children were here. My grands are all here except 2 that recently moved with their parents to Virginia.I am a small part Cherokee Indian and the rest..my parents.

The part about The Cherokee Indian is quite interesting to me. A guy I once worked with was married to a lady from OK, and her parentage was 100% Indian. About all I can remember now, is that her fathers name is/was "Dutch Pidgeon" and he was a "Blackfoot". I am in the dark here, because I never bothered to check-out where the tribe came in Indian Hieracy.

It has just occured to me, that it's around 10 past 8pm and with the cooler temps being experienced in the US, you may want to get under the covers. If that is so, please say so. I wouldn't want to keep you from getting warm.bigsmile
